Man GW needs to stop putting this gak out so fast... These models looks fantastic and fun to paint, great variety in the box... but I can't add to my sprue stack so soon after Overkill, Renegade and the 30th anniversary marine... Too fast too fast!

Fantastic box yet again though, and, again, if anywhere near the price of the others another great value.

Whomever they have sculpting and whatever extra say they have clearly given back to Jes Goodwin (to my eye his touch is all over everything in 2016) is surely a very, very good thing -

Yeah the sculpts are pretty darn good to be fair.

Seems very odd the new Warhammer Quest game doesn't have it's own thread

The overall model range in the box is more hit than miss for me. Really lovely looking Chaos Barbarian model; would love if they released a second more dynamic variant later on. The Chaos models are quite nice too and add a much needed boost to the Tzeentch range.

The Night Goblin Scutters are very underwhelming models and odd looking; not sure where that leaves future Goblin model releases. The rest of the good guy range is a bit bland...Sigmarine and Fyreslayer just look like any other in their respective ranges, the running elf looks very Dark Eldar, and the Warrior Priest is ok.

Yeah, perils of the Wallet has surpassed sustainable. Man, to just even be able to get this stuff at cost... yeah, right.

I like the Aelfs. Interesting poses.

I agree the Barbarian is not in the most action packed pose, and wouldn't mind seeing an updated (upgraded?) version somewhere down the line.

The Warpriest reminds me of the older models, but especially of the Avatars of War figure for some reason. Maybe because I have it in front of me.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

It's an Age of Sigmar release, really. Wouldn't be much point having its own thread IMO.

Can't wait to add these Tzaangors to the Beastmen force . That Ogroid thingy should look pretty nice too, since it wouldn't look too out of place in a Beastmen army. Great Bray Shaman on steroids maybe?

I finally carry on with my 30k and they throw this out?
I'll need another mortgage the way it's going.

Kudos to GW though, the sculpts here are stunning!

Rough translation of the Fyreslayer Doomseker::

Fyreslayer Doomseker:
Renouncing their fraternal ties/bonds and their native houses/lodges, doomseekers have sworn an irrevocable oath, which led to a lonely life.
A fyreslayer doesn't tell why he made his oath, perhaps a rite of passage, or the fate of Runeson who doesn't succeed his father (won't succeed his father ?).
Some are the last survivors of a lost/extinct lodge / house, fulfill the last vows of their dead brothers.
Some come back to their house/lodge as heros, after having fulfilled their quest, others cross the Mortal Realms until their death.
Only the doomseeker knows what terrible oath led him to the Silver Tower.

Do you want the others guys ?

Ogroid looks awesome.
And if it turns out the barbarian is really a guy not yet turned all the way to chaos, but seeking the favour of the dark gods, Im really impressed by the possible narrative here.

Apart from / beside his fickle master, noone from the Silver Tower is more feared or hated than the Ogroïd Thaumaturge (is this an english word too ? It means "sorcerer"), a monster straight out from an originel / primordial nightmare.
He lead the cultists and the savage beastmens of the Silver Tower, as well during their rituals than in combat / in rituals and in combat, throwing / leading the Gaunt Summoner's minions in endless battles raging in the depths of the Silver Tower; all this for the frivolous fun of his demonic master / to entertain his demonic master.
Woe to the adventurer who meet this this monstrous wizard at the turning of a corridor / at the round of a corridor, because he charges head down, like a mad beast / an enraged beast, crushing
the hero too slow to move away under his shoes and fists, and burning the orher in multicolored flames.

Cheers for that!

Even though I'm tempted to actually play the game, I'm even more tempted to scour eBay and build more of my tzeentch daemons army from these models.
Nothing wrong with adding another prince or 3 to the current 8.

Grots Scuttling:

They are the tribal grots' degenerate cousins, whose skinny / malingre body has been remodeled to adjust to life in the corners / the recesses of the Silver Tower.

They remain in the Gaunt Summoner's palace / palatial labyrinth, using poisons and webs to capture the unwary, and retreated from the fight as soon as it looks unfavorable.
They never attack the Silver Tower inhabitants (dangerous and not comestible).
If they have numerical advantage, they can be dangerous for the adventurers who stumble upon / discover their lair.

Next are the aelfs !

Tenebrael Shard:

It is a frequently spoken topic at the fireside / by the fire, but very little is know about the Tenebrael Shard which some consider a myth.
It is told that he can walk through / between the shadows, like a man goes from one room to another, or turn into a lively dark cloud , deceiving / avoiding his enemies' weapons.
Can he really break a the blade with his bare hands ?
Can he make someone's heart stop by looking at him ?
Noone knows, if the Tenebrael Shard.
As with everything else about him, one can only guess at why he came to the Silver Tower.

I just emailed the War Store asking if there would be a way to get those promo heroes with pre-orders... None of my local game stores have shown an iota of interest in stocking Silver Tower, mostly as they've become Warmahordes or GTFO shops... much to my dismay.
