Hey Theophony... good bud that you are... interested in selling one of those swords?

You could check e-bay / local stores for copies of the old Shogun Boardgame. Those should be about the right size.

So it an old boargame? I saw it, but I kept thinking it couldn't be that old if Theo was just breaking them out.

Alright, back to the drawing board. Or the internet. Whichever. Don't mind me.

There's a seller on eBay, the price is more than I'd pay for it, but I don't want to buy another box of the game .

But I might have a cunning plan.

Yeah, I'd probably check local avenues before e-bay myself.

Any chance we could get some preview pics of the black widows sometime? I'd imagine they're still a ways out but it'd be cool.

Based on the quality of the Crusader, the stormtrooper kits I am so wanting the Hanomags and Valkyr GW is now posting their idea for the Knights which have a similar layout to the Crusader/Mortis as what can you do wwith a humanoid giant robo?

But so far marks soldiers and mecha do blow GW out of the water.

GW refers to themselves as the Porsche of minis, of so, Dreamforge is proving to be the Lamborghini of minis.

Lambo was the first thing that came to mind. Even Top Gear seems to like them.

Okay, but that Dreamforge minis have blown away GW "superiority" in details and other areas is fact. I am very pleased with my minis so far and look forwards to the Valkyr and Hanny's

I just need the 15mm capacitor coolers and 15mm weapons to make it to the open market. Definately regret not going in for some 15mm HEL cannon.

I can't imagine they'll be that expensive, so your regrets will soon be a thing of the past.

In the Knight thread, some people are saying that the 15mm levis are going to be more in line with the new GW kit height-wise... if so, then I definitely cannot see GW coming even close to the 15mm levis' price. Even if you "have to" buy extra arms to get all your options, they won't clock in at 100$ if you're wise on where you shop.

Personally, I think the 28mm will be closer, even if I have to stoop it a bit. And that is assuming I'll be playing 40K again soon, which is a big if.

On the subject of the beowulf/grendel weapon, the building instruction is missing a part number at instruction 4, i think it is C5,but it was no problem, had a problem with instruction 2 adding the back part was somewhat unclear had to cut it to make it fit already had assembled the elbow joint to the connecting part.

I'm waiting to see what the size comparison is going to be like, but I may well have to buy the big chainsaw arm now.

My Beowulf and Ripper came in today. Sadly I got slammed by customs, but joy of joys, they're here, now to wait for the Knight to hit the shelves so I can start sprucing up my Leviathan.

Since I'm really not in the 40K mode anymore, I've got two 15mm Leviathans I'm selling to any interested parties.

$90 for the two, with capacitor coolers and swords included, and free shipping if you live in the USA.

On topic here, I think I'll be picking up the 28mm versions for use in an IRON CORE game now!

capacitor coolers were a plastic only thing, IIRC?

If the 5.5" resin version though, I'll take them.

With them Knight (NOT/maybe?) Titans on the horizon, I'm conflicted. I would rather my money go to rewarding Mark's exceptional customer service and high-quality designs and productions, rather than rewarding GW's AWFUL customer service (and high-quality designs and productions). I can't get another Crusader/Mortis (either scale) AND a Knight Titan.

...although, my wife did finally get a full-time job, so we're not quite as poor as we have been... so maybe I can? dangerous thoughts.

Just hypothetically though, when might a mini-Mortis be retail available? I didn't get on in the KS, and have been regretting it ever since.

I think the GW knight looks surprisingly good after the abomination that was the Khornemower. I don't think the Leviathan would be out of place side by side with it, and your choice will largely come down to if you prefer the smooth aesthetic of the Leviathan or the perhaps overly ornate Knight. I think you might also be able to make some awesome kitbashes if you mix the two, and the aesthetic also gives some great ideas for 40kifying the leviathan.

It will also be great to (perhaps) have a more fitting ruleset for the model than the warhound. Official rules are pretty important imo, and it was a better idea to play the leviathan with the official warhound rules rather than make homebrew rules, despite the model differences.

Do the default arms share sprues with the torso and legs? If not, would it be worth making up bundles matching the Knights' specific loadouts - like a Nova Cannon and Ripper Saw for the Knight Errant?
