Topless Robot wrote:Christopher Lee, famed star of Hammer horror movies, Lord Of The Rings, and much, much more will be coming soon to some earphones near you. Videogum and The Guardian have the news that the 87-year-old actor plans to release a "symphonic metal" album about the life and career of Charlemagne, the first Holy Roman Emperor and a direct ancestor of Lee himself. "To my surprise and indeed great pleasure, I have suddenly found that there is another string to my bow," Lee announced.
...That's fething right. Christopher Lee is doing a symphonic metal biography of Charlemagne.
Thank god, I read the first half dozen words and thought, 'Oh gak, Christopher Lee died?!'
"-Nonsense, the Inquisitor and his retinue are our hounoured guests, of course we should invite them to celebrate Four-armed Emperor-day with us..." Thought for the Day - Never use the powerfist hand to wipe.

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Seriously? He didn't look like he was out of his late 60's in Revenge of the Sith.
People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Agreed. Shatner has some raw talent when he's tapping into his own life.
"Here's Me Trying" off of 'Has Been' is...well, it's moving.
And have you seen him on his show, "Shatner's Raw Nerve"? It's...impressive.

Yeah, pretty trippy eh? He was doin some hardcore acting scenes in the LOTR trilogy at the age of 77, and again later for the Star Wars movies. That is why Christopher Lee is a bad ass...
