I have been designing custom tray for almost 3 years now and this dumb app is outrageously addictive.

I spent 2 hours on it the first time I got a chance to test it.

I think I made like 50 different trays just to see what it worked like.

Crazy stuff.

Anyway, enjoy the app and look for the 720 to hit our storefront in less then 6 weeks.

Probably a bag size, going by BF's naming scheme.

Just as a suggestion, you should take into account the 3 dimensional nature of some models. For example, if a model would be too tall for the foam depth selected, the profile should be red.

Ya, we looked at that, but the computer can only see in 2D so we could not get it to work.

Its a good idea but can not be created for this kind of app.

We are hoping people take the time to measure their model and simply select the correct size.

Also, our designers know what size most models are so if an odd order comes down the pipes we'll call that customer to confirm the order.

I tried chasing the rotation button around the profile for a while. Then:

Protip: Click the rotation button and hold the mouse. The piece will keep rotating, and you can keep your mouse still.

So, after messing around with it, would it be possible to have increments of .25 .5 and .75? I just feel like I could fit so much more stuff on a tray if I could make 1.25"x1.75" rectangles instead of 1.5"x2" rectangles.

Most companies come out with something kinda cool and never follow up. Yous guys came out jogging and have now started running. You should perform a takeover of GW and run them right.

I've spent the last 8 or so years investing in Sabol Designs trays; great trays, do exact what I want them to for almost everything. I own a half dozen cases and probably more than a hundred trays.

This would normally mean that BattleFoam would have little chance of getting my business, BUT...there is one area in which Sabol fails the test. Large models. I mean LARGE Models, like Titan large, Baneblade large. The Sabol tray is just a bit too small to handle that kind of demand.

I have 4 FW Warhound Titans that I have an enormous difficulty with when I want to take them to events. Were Battlefoam to create a custom cut where my magnetized Titans could be pulled apart and then each part set in it's own fitted slot...Well, it is no lie to say I would be tempted. I visualize a 2 tray system, one tray has the slot for the legs, perhaps using the left over space to give a couple of seperate slots for various arm weapons. The second tray has a slot for the torso and head (two varient trays, one for the Mars Pattern, one for the Lucious), along with extra slots for arm weapons and such like.

Now, THAT is something I would gladly buy to protect my expensive models.

What do you say Romeo? Will BattleFoam be the first company to may foam trays for Titans?

I've wish I had one for my titan, but with so many pose possibilities, I would think you have to go custom.

Just like Jabbakahut said, we already do what your looking for. We have been doing titan foam since day one. We make custom trays up to 12" and sometimes bigger if the customer wants it.

Most cases its a custom order because of the position of different parts on the model, but that's as easy as grabbing a marker and tracing your model.

We also offer the P.A.C.K. 1520 or the P.A.C.K. Max to take care of those large items.

Take a minute and check out our site and watch some of the videos. I actually fit a full thunderhawk and other goodies into the Max without any problem.

We look forward to finally helping you with this Titan issue.

P.S. I know you have invested lots of money into Sabol, but sometimes change is not a bad thing.

I was thinking it would be possible to merge different shapes to get a custom shape (like a rectangle sticking out of a circle). But they turn red - presumably meaning "dont do that" any thoughts on adding that feature such as "merge" or something?

I have a Tyranid army - it's very oddly shaped.

Same here. This is a great app though, and I can't wait to see it expanded. Not knowing how to set up my trays has been the biggest issue in holding me back from buying new cases from you guys. (That pesky money thing is the other)

I was gonna suggest having a selection of cuts not only by inches but by what their base size is would be great, but honestly a quick scan through your own website answers those questions already. Templates per army would be wonderful if that were a drop down menu.

How come the Leman Russ option is a rectangle, but pictures of trays on your site show it as an outline? What if I want the outline?

Okay maybe I missed something but I made 2 trays and saved em but how do I order em?

Hi Fishboy,

Now that you created the trays just like you like them you'll need to email or fax them in to us. Before you do that you will need to order them using our shopping cart. You will notice we have items called custom trays. Choose the custom tray size that you want and add that to the cart. So if you ordering custom Battle Foam trays then you would select custom BF trays and pay for the items. Once you pay for them you just attach the trays to the email you get from us or just fax the tray print outs with your order number.

Next week we will have up more detailed directions on how to process the order. For this weekend we just wanted people to get comfortable with the app.

Also, if your ordering a custom loaded bag then you just pick that bag and submit as many custom trays as can fit in that bag.

Could you give me the recommended shapes/sizes for the following so I can create my order:
Firewarriors
Crisis Suits
Broadsides (action posed)
Kroot
Drones

Most of the firewarriors should be good with 1"x1.5" squares. The Kroot work better in 1"x2" because the majority of their gun poses. I typically use 2" or 2.5" depth foam to stand my guys up in the foam for ease of entry and removal, and you can get a lot of guys on a 15"x12" foam hehe.
