Hi all, I finally got restarted my old Skaven army - but it might need an "overhaul".

But I got started on my Warlock Engineer, based on the new Queek Headtaker - with an Warp-Energy Condenser from a Warlock Engineer.
But there is still some work to be done, I need a handgun of some sort - to repecent a warplock pistol as well as some sort of device to put on his hand weapon which will make it a Warlock-Augmented Weapon

Cheers for now

Updated 11 Jan 2010

Now with a picture of the Engineer.

Thats all for new, I hope to get my core troops done - soon

Yes, I don't like the other ones - when talking about Skaven Engineers, I always imagen some "fast-moving high-tech-low-level-spell-casters" and since there is an armour which also the Engineers can use, Queek seems as the best choice I had.

And again thanks mate

Nice work on Queek. He'll make a great engineer. I've always had a soft spot for the ratmen... must be how they keep getting in. ;P

What else can we expect from yer hoard?

Well first off all, thanks to both of you.
And now that I know, that my little rat-force is on its way in mail.

I'll be working on the core force of my ratman army - som Clanrat regiments, a single Plague Monk regiment will also be done by the end of the month.

Fouleye Fellhide, is also one his way - based on the new Epidemius character.

I like the powerklaws on the ratogre.

If you want to make your slave unit large and cheap, you could use the night goblins that come with the Skull Pass boxed set.

I like varied slaves I used Gnoblars for a lot of mine. I've also got to admit to being impressed by the Power Klaw Rat Ogres.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

- Well I though about that myself, but I don't wanna use the Skull Pass goblins - I'm gonna use Flagellants, Piggyback Gnoblars (with slings) and some of the Clanrats who don't have armour.

Thanks to both of you, I'm glad that my idea is so well recieved.

Here's my basic idea for the Rat ogre Bonebreaker... It took an entire day of saw work... and a very painful wrist...
But here it is... My WIP Bonebreaker:

Hello all, and welcome back to me Army-thread.
I only got a few updates for now, but I'll be back later next month with some more...

But for now, I only got a picture of a long waiting figure - the Screaming Bell (from last edition). It will be part of my conversion of the Plagueclaw Catapult, and the parts which will not be used - will be part of other ideas... Such as terrain, and Striker will be a Packmaster or Plague Priest.

A little side note:
I'll also be posting my finished Bonebreaker later today.
Cheers all

I like your metals particularly. Queek is certainly a dynamic figure and a great base for a conversion.

Thanks kestral

Anyway here are the Beast of all beasts = The Bonebreaker Rat Ogre, for my Warlord. There is a large space between his head and body, that I have done nothing with - because it is where the Warlord himself is to be placed...
- Enjoy

And here his base: For the first time, in a long time a base that I'm proud of

Cheers all, let me hear what you think.

Later this week I'll be working on my first 10-Stormvermin "Bodyguards" for my warlord as well as the warlord himself (the one who will be riding on my Bonebreaker).

- Then I'll begin to look for some colour scheme, that might fit with the army
