Perhaps you might want to relax a bit Steelmage?

I would suggest wrapping it in bubble wrap and using a shoe box/some box of the right size. Preferably with a lid on the long side rather than the short size for ease of use.

1) you can carry them loose if practical. for my Space marines i just set them on my car seat and carry them by hand

2) a carrying case with custimizable foam, but I assume you don't have one

3) a cardboard box. set the items inside, stuff soft cloth/foam/socks/t-shirts inbetween to pad them. This is what I do not exactly professional, but it works

Steelmage dude, no need to be a jerk.

@OP:

#1: www.battlefoam.com Check out the ork army foam. They have foam custom-made to tote around ork trukks, battlewagons, and everything else in the Ork arsenal.

#2: Poor-Man's trukk case: Go to Walmart or Target and purchase a $10 tackle box. Put a layer of bubble wrap at the bottom. Then, either glue pluck-foam in layers to create sections for your trukks, or use more bubble-wrap to do the same. I use excess pluck-foam and the tacklebox is deep enough to hold two layers of vehicles - I have two trukks and two battlewagons on the bottom, and four more trukks on the top layer, all protected by bubble wrap and foam.

What kind of a case do you use?
If you're using any of the commercially available ones that have interchangable trays, they all have trays big enough for them.

If you're not... Maybe buy a single tray (or a couple) to keep your vehicles in?

I keep my trukk in a cardboard box with eggcrate foam that some computer parts came in. Along with kanz, meganobs and a warboss. The solution to in-box movement is to pack so much stuff in there isn't any room for them to move about, and therefore be bashed around.

off-topic but I always feel a little peeved when I see 'post deleted by modquisition', not because I disagree with thier decisions but because I never got to read the offending post and am now curious as to what it says!

He basically cussed out the OP because he felt this was the wrong forum for this.

It's always annoying when someone flips out over a trivial matter, ah well...

Another solution I've seen in use is to wrap it in lots of layers of tissue, and I mean LOTS! (seriously it was like christmas day AFTER opening all the presents)

I encountered that problem with my Boyz and massive Deffkopta fleet. I have made custom foam carrying cases for my Marines, but that just seems impractical with 180+ Boyz, 4 Trukks and god knows how many Koptas.

My solution was to take a rubbermaid type container, and make cardboard trays for everything. So far it's working rather well, I might put up a tutorial if I have time later next week.

How do you carry the rest of your Orks? If you have something like Army Transport cases, you can just take out foam like you would with anything else. If you don't have access to something like that, the aforementioned cardboard box with lots of bubble wrap is okay. You can always get more bubble wrap from a UPS store or something.
