Nice idea.
There is a guy on here doing a similar thing - only with marines.
Comment 1 - his fist needs trimming & some GS work - perhaps some cables etc?
The concept leaves so much to work with really - you could use Empire Flagellants, give them some body armor - alternatively there are some nice Skaven bodies - trim off the feet and tails, add boots and heads and you have great desert / waste raiders.
Goggles! All self respecting wastelanders wear goggles, and carry HUGE shotguns etc. Ogryn - well you could pretty much do a straight conversion to the Fallout Super-Mutants.
Here is a great reference for weapon conversions -
Automatically Appended Next Post: ps. Kroot armor plates, orc weapons - perfect for this kind of thing.

This looks very promising. I'll be keeping an eye on this.

I like your composition, but agree that the power fist needs a slight tweak. At the moment it looks kinda like a huge baseball glove. What colours are you thinking of using?

Well, looks like I've got plenty to work on. I've started on concepts for a stormtrooper as well as a sniper, might have pics up later. For colours I was thinking miscelaneous on clothing, and maybe grey (with rust of course) for armour.

UPDATE: Powerfist was causing me too much trouble, so I decided to base the officer's weapon after the shishkabab (fallout 3) WIP. Also done the stormtrooper and sniper, as well as a sergeant.

Would you consider Veterans in carapace armour as Brotherhood of Steel....or Outcasts? I'm sure you could use SM as a base to work on. Just throwing in some ideas. I'm intriuged this WIP.

Bash the Bosh- I was actually considering that, but seeing as BoS use "power armour" I figured I would take that route if I decide to incorporate SM/GK in my army.

The SM/BoS theme sounds awesome to me. Definatly potential there. How are you going to do the vehicles? What about those aircraft that the Enclave use to deploy their troops as valkyries? That would be awesome to see some scratch built/converted airborne vehicles.....or you could green stuff up some Brahmin

I feel like this army neccesitates the use of Liberty Prime as a Titan or Dreadnought. There's something to be said about a giant robot that throws tactical nukes like footballs.
Raiders might make good penal legion soldiers too.
Also, what kind of list do you plan on running?

Where'd you get that German steel helmet for the Stormtrooper? Nice!

Death By Monkeys- Some tamya german infantry set, 35mm I think.
I honestly have little to no plans in terms of a list, I'm more into the modelling/painting aspect of 40k. As such, I find an idea I like, then I see if I can afford it.
