A long while ago, I bough a dungeons and dragons game. It was the box with 4 predetermined characters, regdar, lidda, millee and jozan as well as loads of enemies and ten board tiles and dice with daggers on.
I was wondering if any of you lot could help me identify it and let me know how similar to the current D&D games

That was the 3.5 edition starter set, was it? Comes with an orc, a harpy, a blue dragon, a goblin or two, a gargoyle and...a skeleton?
Am I correct?
It's for the previous edition of D'n'D, the miniatures and tiles would work fine with the new edition and the old edition is still perfectly workable. Full rules for it are available online for free.

Nah, hero wise, there was an elf, a human cleric, a halfling and a human warrior. Monster wise there was 6 gobos, 6 skeles, 3 trolls, 4 ogres, 5? bugbears, 3 carrion crawlers, 3 wraiths and a leich. That's all I think.

That particular boxed set is a boardgame, very roughly based on the 3rd edition D&D roleplaying game.

It's not a bad little fantasy adventure boardgame, but in rules terms, it's not really that like any of the D&D roleplaying games.

I've heard it's a pretty fun little game, comparable to Descent, but simpler.
Also, it's never been sold in the US, so if it's in decent shape, and if you don't mind shipping internationally, I'm sure you could get quite a decent price for it from a US geek either via eBay or on Boardgamegeek.com.
