You have one what in the mail? A GW killa-kan?

Making a mold based on the GW model is going to cause you grief because the GW killa-kans are among the worst, if not THE worst model in their line-up. Simply put - its pewter, and the pieces don't fit together. You have to cut the lips off and shave down the killa-kan and jury rig it together. They just don't fit.

yes i have a killa kan in the mail. ok i now the killa kan model is not the best but how hard with it be to cast one? i am just trying to think of a way to cut the cost of 9 kans.

do you know of a better way to cast a kan other than using a GW model? oh i am really really bad at scratch building!!

Honestly it would be a lot easier to scratch build, and it would get your less flak for IP shenanigans/copying. I'm sure there are plenty of good examples of scratch built kans out there.

the one thing with scratch builds are that they require lots of extra bits that i do not have. then looking at the cost of the bits and supply's then time invested it would be almost the same as just buying them.

Just as a warning, those AT-43 guys are pretty short. They are only about at tall as a Terminator, maybe slightly taller. Not nearly the height of a Dreadnought or a Kan.

for the record, reproductions will only get you in trouble if you get caught with them.

I only play with fully painted models and I rarely if ever let strangers pick them up.

All in all, a fully painted recast would be identical to an original if you cast it correctly.

As a disclaimer, I'm not saying that you should infringe anyone's IP.
