Just thought I'd post photos of my new Tyranids. They are based off the Hive Fleet Kraken scheme. The back-story is that the main Hive Ship was struck by a solar flare, with the intense radiation levels creating a gene mutation which caused the glowing carapace sections.

The models are still a little bit unfinished in areas, such as the mouth and eyes.

Broodlord with unfortunate Guard victim.

All comments welcome

Thanks,

I like the background (Fantastic 4 much? ^^) and the colour scheme. I applaud you for doing something original unlike me (Leviathan colour scheme).

They look pretty good and I like the fluff / paint job tie in. Would like to see some better pics though - they seem a little washed out to me, maybe the flash?

Thanks for your ideas guys. I'll try to get some better photos once all the Warriors are finished.

Anyone have any other opinions?

Nice, the glowing effect works well

I would use the lighting effect on the terrain pieces to make it have even more of a glow effect. Here is how I do it for that yellow color
-Big circle of golden yellow glaze
-Highlight everything with sunburst yellow
- final highlight of skull white
For a fiery look
-Glaze of blood red
-highlight blazing orange
-highlight sunburst yellow
-highlight skull white
