Ive been curious about which imperial guard regiments everone likes best.
My own preference is the Death Korps of Kreig, primarly because i am a fan of the WWI era and of German Armies prior to 1945.

I would guess you mean to ask what everyone's favorite Imperial Guard regiment is.

In that case, my own preference is towards the more elite and higher-tech ones. In particular, regiments that make heavy use of Stormtroopers - the Cadian Kasrkin, the Harakoni Warhawks, and the Terrax Guard.

My Forces:
DA Consecrators- 2000 points' worth, currently shelved

Imperial Guard - about 2000 points' worth, soon to be expanded

Christmas Orks - 1750 points' worth

PRAETORIAN!!!!!

-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake.

In a Society in which there is no law, and in theory no compulsion, the only arbiter of behaviour is public opinion. But public opinion, because of the tremendous urge to conformity in gregarious animals, is less tolerant than any system of law. When human beings are governed by "thou shalt not", the individual can practise a certain amount of eccentricity: when they are supposedly governed by "love" or "reason", he is under continuous pressure to make him behave and think in exactly the same way as everyone else.

Yes that is what i meant to say, thanks for catching that.

The Terrax Guard remind me of the Mordian Iron Leigon.

Elysians! Who else has the awesome idea of dog tags for the Emprah?

What you may ask? The gold coins carried around each of their necks. They represent the guiding light to the Emperor as each Elysian is buried with them on their eyes, though when death is on the battlefield they're around their neck. Ah, 40k. You make regular infantry fanatics...

"From the fires of Betrayal unto the blood of revenge we bring the name of Lorgar, the Bearer of the Word, the favored Son of Chaos, all praise be given to him. From those that would not heed we offer praise to those who do, that they might turn their gaze our way and gift us with the Boon of Pain, to turn the Galaxy red with the blood, and feed the hunger of the Gods."
