I'm partial to the praetorians, but I like some of the alternate guards presented in the 4th edition codex.

Lastly, I'm particularly fond of the Melchizedekian 4th. My own guard made of Cadians plus pig iron heads. The Melk 4th traditionally march into battle in Ruddy Brown fatigues and gas masks that may or may not contain battle stimulants.
