I swear, Alister Caine is the warcaster that I've painted the most. The most recent version of him that I've done was a Classic Caine with a starscape freehanded on his coat. It works very well with the force that he's in, where all of the gun mages have some freehand on their greatcoats (the Black 13 have starscapes like this one).

That is really nice, especially the star work on the cloak - I wish I had an iota of freehanding skill. Actually, scratch that, I wish I had an iota of painting skill!

That model is an awesome sculpt, and I like the contrast of the metallics and the stars.

That is an awesome paintjob.

I think I just found my replacement 'caster.

That looks amazing or should I say, 'groovy'? (He reminds of Bruce Campbell) What is he though? An Inquisitor or not 40K?

Would you mind tell us how you did the metal on his leggings? Im a weirdo when it comes to how metal looks on my minis, and that is honestly, some of the best looking metal Ive ever seen

Thank you.

This was fairly simple metals. I first base coated it with Citidel Tin Bitz, and then highlighted up with P3 Pig Iron. After that, I mixed a little Citidel Mithril Silver into the Pig Iron for brighter highlights.

I don't think I even washed his metals. I usually throw in a glaze at some point.
