Im a fan of plastic. Its easier to work with, and glues easier. Plus, it seems in my experiences, that metal pieces have less detail than plastic. Maybe its just in my head lol.

I prefer the plastic, its easier to cut and doesn't have such a bad fit like the metal models. Every time I think the super glue has dried on the metal, it falls to pieces.

Plastic, They look a lot nicer in my eyes, and I've never had trouble gluing them together. Metal on the other hand... My Terminator Chaplain just won't stick even though I've given it every reason to work.

Plastic. Converting, customzing, and creative assembly is my favorite part of this hobby, and you just don't get as much of that with metal models, compared to the bits-centric assembly of plastic kits.

Originally I also preferred plastic because it was cheper, but we all know what happened to that one.

Depends entirely on the model. For most troops, etc? Plastic all the way.
But certain things are better metal, imo. Personally, I love my current venerable Dread more than the new one, simply because it's metal. It's big, heavy, feels like it has some oomph behind it.

Plastic! it's cheaper, lighter, easier to do ANYTHING with, and doesn't break all the time!

Yeah I do agree with all these. But I voted metal because I like to feel the weight. It makes my little army men feel more substantial and real.

I hate metal models. I not buying them anymore, if it can be at all avoided.

In a Society in which there is no law, and in theory no compulsion, the only arbiter of behaviour is public opinion. But public opinion, because of the tremendous urge to conformity in gregarious animals, is less tolerant than any system of law. When human beings are governed by "thou shalt not", the individual can practise a certain amount of eccentricity: when they are supposedly governed by "love" or "reason", he is under continuous pressure to make him behave and think in exactly the same way as everyone else.

Most things Plastic, but for that occasional small character model, metal is just more detailed.

I am a fan of metal models for no other reason than I like the way the models feel when I pick them up. That heft is something special. I like metal so much that I sought out a metal IG army and my other 40k army is a Witchhunters/Daemonhunters army because they have mostly metal figures in those ranges.

It depends as others have said. I dont agree with the whole more detail is better on plastic. Resin maybe but not plastic. Look at GKs i think those models have more detail than most models out there. I actually like my GKs being all metal. Most things are easier to work with in plastic (unless you have a monolith).

I have to agree the weight of the metal, and the options of plastic, that's why i like the mix and match like 1k sons

Plastics definitely, some of the metal models are stunning but for sheer diversity and convertibility its got to be plastics for the win

Plastics for sure. Less Costly almost affordable by GW terms, and is easy to convert and make, but nothing completes a army like a huge metal centerpiece Like Ghazzy

I love metal models, the feel of moving them across the table cannot be compared to anything else in the world.

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.

Nearly always prefer plastics. Drop them off the table... they bounce. Drop a metal off the table, watch it explode. Since I tend to drink when I play, the choice is obvious.

I actually have a full body tattoo, but it's of an invisibility cloak, so you can't see it.

I just knocked my Goff Rocker trukk (under construction) off the desk . Everything was fine...except the rockers who flew off in all directions. Now I get to do that all over again. Yay.

Nuts to metal models.

I find that if you pin things well they don't explode . . . the glue just comes loose and bits spin round. It makes your models more fun and interesting =p

I hate metal models, no fun to work with, hard to use for conversions. I don't mind pewter bitz at all really, for those are easy to use and convert, but a solid pewter model not only cost a fortune but weights a ton. If I want something with weight on it, I will just pick up a rock, or but a paperweight. Also with pewter models, I just stay away from buying them, whats the point of getting a hunk of metal you can't do anything with other then kill someone with a blow to the back of the head.

This is good.... isn't it?

Plastic is better than metal to work with. With the exception of the current SoB which are fairly easy, though it will be better if they release plastic ones.
