After reading a few different threads I decided to write up a kult of speed list but make them snow boys. I havent stumbled across any pictures yet so I am not sure if any has already made this yet, I know there was alot of talk about turning bikes into snow mobiles so i thought i would have a go. I also thought that i would convert the front of the trucks to look like snow plows (wouldn't take much work really :p) so then i got thinking well if orks were subject to living in places that were really cold then maybe they would turn BLUE!. So here are some of the first pics of my snow boys, So far I have six snow mobiles(incomplete) and ten boys and a nob (90% completed) Ideas, c&c welcome and wanted.

I like it so far, I dig the bikers with the ski's.

The ski's are just the blades from the deffkopta's that I mutilated! I just drilled and pinned with heavy gauge guitar wire. They are my favourite so far! now to knock up a plow blade for the front of my first truck!

btw what does everyone think of the colour of the boys?

Here is the snow plow truck....... it needs something else but I am not sure what? any ideas?

I like it a lot! Very unique idea, and it looks awesome.

The only things I can thing of is that the snow plow would look wicked awesome if it had some kind of skull on the front, instead of those spikes - perhaps a Carnifex or 'Nid Warrior head?

Also, the Boyz + Nob, while I love the blue skin, need some color on the clothes, perhaps - some kind of brown or something, just to break up the grey/white a bit. It would also look great if the Nobz had some kind of fur collar or coat, since they are better off than the Boyz and can therefore have better protection against the cold, if only to drive the point home that they're Nobz.

Feel free to use that, by the way. If some Cheeto fingered basement dweller throws a hissy fit about your blue Orks, call them Blorks, and explain with straight a face as possible that they are a recently discovered sub-genus of orks. Then sit back and laugh as the nerdrage ensues.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! as soon as i read this i literally lol'ed! I can't actually afford to buy anymore boys atm because i am about to head to london for work, but i was thinking that i might repaint my stormboys in a similar scheme, perhaps with a schorched brown armour maybe with vermin brown highlights. I was had read that maybe stormboys should be on snowboards with rockets on them I will see what I can rustle up. hehehe

Love 'em. Different coloured orks seem to be a bit of a craze recently, but they look great so it's ok.

Snowplow Truck looks great and StormBoarders sound like a great idea, plus, some of them have fur collars so they'll fit right in.

I like the blue skin, it seems to emphasize that these orks are COLD. Snowplow trukk is pretty cool too, and I know exactly what it needs, caution stripes

Nice, I totally dig non-green orcs. If they could survive extreme cold and they just turn blue that cracks me up.

I was thinking similar thoughts - it'd look really cool, except that I think that Ork vehicles would shake too much for icicles to form and that Orks on foot would be moving too much, as well. That said, it'd be an awesome-looking effect.

Your truck is awesome, but you need chains on the front, or more spikes, or possibly an impaled grot or snow ork. Just thoughts.

Well done. I like your bases, painting them white and/or gray to push the arctic feel. the Blue is a nice touch, not realistic per se since chloroplats remain green in arctic environments, but dramatic which I think is a better substitute for realism. Kudos! though the seam in the Nob's underarm bothers me, think you are up to some green stuffin? Onto the vehicles, what do you think about some chains on the trukk tires? Not essencial but if you are looking for more stuff to do to it that would be a detail that would add to the character. Good job homie, I'm luvvin it!
