Assuming the deffrolla (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/280793.page) ruling stands, I've been considering taking orks instead of my normal marines to 'ard boys. I would need to expand my orks a bit to make it, but I was thinking of taking advantage of ramming trucks and deffrollas.

My first thought is that 12 boyz in a ram trukk with a klaw/pole Nob is 152 points, not 142.





edit: also, where did you see a new ruling on deff rollas? I thought the generally accepted (although DUMB) ruling was that they couldn't get the rolla hits on vehicles.

The ruling has appeared on a spanish FAQ on G.W's site.

It's also apparently on the Italian GW FAQ. Expect it to spread. If you can speak either language, maybe you'll be able to get a better translation than Babelfish's "mechanized brutality" translation.

Further down the page, the argument seems to be ended by until GW releases an English FAQ, it won't count, because this sort of thing has happened before, and GW used its English FAQ to supercede the other. They gave instances.

The FAQ is in english now. Take six deff rolla wagons and trukk boyz with whatever you've got left and don't worry about ranged anti-tank.
