OK, so I still have my copy of Forgotten Realms Unlimited Adventures (the make your own scenario version of the old Gold Box games I first played on my Commodore 64 in the 80s). And all this talk of Deities and Demigods makes we want to crack it open again but it won't run on my latest machine. Anyone know how to get it to work?

Xp and Vista had "compatibility modes" to do it.

Does 7 have anything similar?

I did a similar thing for an in-law using the .exe file and a "run as" setting.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Dos box should do it

http://www.dosbox.com/

It can be a bit unwieldy to set up and configure and I would recommend getting on of the more user friendly GUI's to plugin like Defend but it will run most old DOS games.

Vista didn't really it was more XP.

If DOS box doesn't work out and you still have a copy of XP laying around download Virtual Box and you can make an XP computer run on your computer. Sounds like a bit of work, but its simply just installing it and a few extra steps.
