so I've noticed we've epanded into several small communities:
there's me, chowder and iflana out next to the desert,
me, wolf and corpses (?) out behind cypor's,
the main dakkatown, where most of us have a house,
mel, nick, corpses, crowbar, cybronx over near the arena.

Then there is me near mel and two of nicks places.

My fortress is near to mels , but my other house is still alone as far as i can tell lol.

Could people post the co-ordinates for these areas. I'm quite new and due to terrible lag I still can't destroy blocks, open chests or do anything, but I can move around fine and i'd like to see all the houses/structures.

I havn't left Dakka Town yet.

your pagoda is far from cy's house. his house is around 1100, -600.

go into the sanc.
go into the basement.
in the corridor next to the strip mine, there should be a "meetings room".
there are a load of co-ords to everyone's house.

I own the giant man, the small house with the fireplace and the under-floor heating near it, and several other places futher off.
I'm kind of the resident builder. I build lots of stuff for the community.
I think I had a resume a couple of pages back.

It runs on the dakkadakka backup server.

The second server backs up pretty much everything that happens on the primary so if the primary is busy the secondary is also busy leading to lag and server crashes.

YAK!!!!!!! it took me hours to put up those falls i put a temporary thing above lamas house and then was away for a few days studying and i come back about to ad the channels to control the falls and find them gone!!!!!!

A similar thing happened with my old house you asked to get rid of it a put a cannon thing outside it and i come on and its already got the front blown of. So even if i had said no it would have still being destroyed!

In future give me warning before acting!

Halo, he gave you 2 warnings previously, those falls where onto the highways and extinquished torches etc. were quite a bit disruptive as well.

I did nothing to your old house (besides asking if you'd consider moving it), so whatever happened there, I had nothing to do with it.


As for the waterfalls, I get that it took you hours to do, but did you not look to see perhaps where your waterfalls were falling? You had flooded one of the roadways out of Dakkatown and you had washed away all the torches that I had put under your floating island to stop monsters from spawning during the day (and night).

In other words, your waterfalls were negatively affecting other people besides yourself. Did you perhaps consider any of that before you started them?

Well, after watching some videos on Youtube I´m playing Minecraft now as well. Damn, that game is addicting. Saps quite some time from my painting projects -.-

Anyway, if possible I´d like to join you on the Dakka server.

it's a really good community, but as I (and I think corpses) have said before to others, just keep a bit away from dakkatown center, it's a bit crowded.
you should see a small (ish) wall going around dakkatown, and I recommend building behind it, or near it. More safety and not too far from the sanc.
Who was it that was gonna make a travel guide? Because I'll make one if it's not gonna happen, or lend a hand if it is.

When maps are released in .6 it will make things easier.

I just found a spider dungeon in my singleplayer. I'm not sure what kind of traps work on spiders, but could I just mine out like 8 layers below the mob spawner? Will the spiders spawn in mid-air, drop and die or will they just not spawn?

I want to make a trap so I can get all the string they will drop. I can use the string to make all my wool which is easier then walking around and punching sheep.

dig around it, knocking 1 block wide, two blocks tall and then knock the torches out. you can get through, spiders can't. Kill them while they can't get you, then run in quickly and grab the loot before another one spawns.

My island is now a sky hotel for all who want to stay there. i am building a new base elsewere.

Due to server crash i lost my 5 stacks of iron ore 4 stacks of gold ore 12 diamonds 5 stacks of arrows and my bow :( cheesus309 told me to let lego know so if your reading this lego overlord/god can you help me please XD

building the wall is postponed because the builder's fed up with 2 days of work solid.
