Ta Az.
More today!
Salamander with Frag Cannon:
Silver Skulls with Stalker Bolter, out of ammo so pulling out his knife to finish the job:
The FC guy gives me one proper squad:
And Captain Artemis himself. Went for different colours here to my last one, swapping the red cape and blue sword for purple and green respectively. The green sword fits well in the force as I already have green on all the lenses/screens ect, and the purple bring the other colours out quite nicely, I think.
That's all for now, cheers for looking and any thoughts welcome!

I like this guy very much. There's something extra with the pop colour of the sword, lifts it. Great work!

That's an interesting color you did for Artemis' sword there, Para. I like it! Any chance you'd tell what you did to achieve that?

Your application of the blood is simply flawless. I'd love to be able to paint models this gritty with gore on them one day, very inspirational. Your rendition of Artemis is absolutely jaw-dropping. You've taken a model I didn't particularly like and very much changed my mind on it. I'm still not a fan of Artemis but I'm definitely a fan of YOUR Artemis.

The Deathwatch are really well done, just like what the others have said. Can't help but feel they're a bit too dark however, they're so dark and (literally) gritty, it's pretty hard to make out details such as chapter markings and extra stuff like that.

They are looking amazing, cohesive yet individuals. Going to be a heck of a task to get through them all. But one happy customer at the end of it. Not sure I have ever seen such a large commission taken on to such a high standard across the board.

Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?
|
Thanks all!
Slowed down a bit in the last couple of days, but I'm by no means dormant! To add to the growing Deathwatch force we have the third and final sergeant, this time from the Black Templars Chapter, taking a rare moment between killing things to point at the next thing he'll be killing.
And one for my own collection, an Inquisitor based off the Genestealer Primus model. The conversion was pretty straightforward, just a couple of Necron/Ad Mech bits for the harness and needle gun, Eldrad's spare arm and clipping off the one Stealer Cult symbol. My last Inquisitor conversion was very much a puritan, with simple robes and a flaming sword for extra purging, so this guy is the other end of the spectrum, experimenting with all kinds of Xenos tech to gain an advantage over The Enemy Without.
That's all for today, more soon though! Thanks for looking, any thoughts are of course welcome!

That Templar looks great. Lots of character, but his bloody hand might be the thing that does it for me - chainswords can be messy! The Inquisitor is a lovely conversion and great use of new models. I would have never thought of that. Well done!

Another stellar example of DW, love the passive sword in the ground stance. And that inquisitor looks amazing, lots going on to keep the eye busy but it all flows together nicely. Good job.

Bit of a break from the Deathwath today (I do have some to show, but I'll get to them tomorrow) as a nice big parcel arrived today from The Outpost, the Suicide Squad set for the Batman Miniatures Game. A full review will be coming soon, but put simply, it's awesome. The value is great for the minis alone, but you also get all the counters you'll need to play, a full colour rulebook, two rather large, durable and reversible cardboard buildings and a nifty set of Joker-themed dice. The nice chaps at The Outpost also threw in a nice MDF apartment block as well, so I shall have to see about putting that together at some point.
As for the minis themselves, they're simply fantastic, every one of them spot on for their on-screen counterpart. I started with what might be my two favourites from the set, Harley Quinn and the Joker himself, ready for a romantic night out in Gotham robbing, murdering and getting in Batmobile chases.
So yeah, just a quick one today, tune in tomorrow for more from the Deathwatch, and a certain unicorn-loving Australian supervillain. In the mean time, cheers for looking, any thoughts welcome!

That is some really good detail on the Joker's coat. Is that on the model itself or did you paint the lines in?

That's sculpted. These models really are great in that department, stuff like that and the crocodile-skin texture on Killer Croc's coat and even the lining on Batman's suit are all really sharp.
Bunch of Deathwatch I did over the last few days, two Veterans and a Blackshield who is definitely, definitely not from a Traitor Legion, no siree! He just... found that Chaos helmet. Yeah.
And the aforementioned Australian supervillain, Captain Boomerang, whose powers including being permanently pissed and... no, wait, that's it! Great model, though, the likenesses in this set are great!
That's all for now, cheers for looking and any thoughts welcome!

Still cracking on!
A few more Deathwatch Marines, Marines to finish up the 5-man Stalker Bolter squad and the other shield guy. 'Scuse the not-great pics, I've not got that much time for photographing and editing at the moment.
That's 20/30 infantry done, going to try and knock out a Drop Pod over the new few days, all by brush... This is going to be fun!
Also got Deadshot done to join the Suicide Squad, great model but not that photogenic sadly.
That's all for now, cheers for looking and any thoughts welcome! Sorry for the lack of updates, it's essay deadline season so I'm buried with work at the moment.

The general light situation at the moment means that 90%of my miniature pictures are poor as well. Good that in spite of your essay workload that you are still making progress, it must be a nice bit of a break from the uni work as well. The Mentor Sgt is especially good, as for Deadshot it is odd how some minis just refuse to be photographed but as you say he looks cool regardless.
Anyway, best of luck with the essay(s). 12 odd years after finishing uni I still occasionally wake up anxiously having had an anxiety dream about having missed a deadline!
