That they were fighting Necrons (the acknowledged Fluff Champions), then the Nids showed up, and the BA FOUGHT ALONGSIDE the Necrons, totally trashing the Nids, before parting amicably. Not making this up.

That they have all the Land Raiders, for no particular reason. The book is just like "also, BA have more Land Raiders, sucks to the rest of ya!"

That they hog the Baal pred pattern, also they are the beta for the Stormraven, despite being, ya know, mutants.

That Mephiston strangles (yes, strangles) a Daemon Prince.

That when Dante puts out a Call To Arms to defend their homeworld, Renegade chapters show up and fight alongside them.

That Lysander was lost in the warp for a long time, and even he doesn't remember a time when Dante didn't rule the Blood Angels. Dante is likely the oldest non-dread Space Marine.

That they got their own Cypher, (heya Sanguinor), but more unambiguously a good guy.

That they sleep in coffins.

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).

Didn't GW already state that Dark Angels have more Land Raiders than anyone else to accommodate that fact that they have more Terminators than everyone else?

Oh, Burrrnnnn.

It's like each new codex... funny stuff.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I refuse to adopt an official stance on BA until I play them. But it seems like GW is ramping up the power on their love children. (Loyalist MeQ's)
I mean at least HALF the 5th ed codexes have been marines. I honestly don't care that SW or BA needed new ones, they have a 5th ed regular marines one they could use until other armies got new ones (I.E. Tau, Necrons, Dark Eldar, CSM).
I'm half expecting the next two codexes to be Black Templars & Dark angels just to show more marine love.
Then again I'm just ranting my hatred, not of marines, but of how GW favors them so obviously

What do you mean Black Templars & Dark Angels, don't forget about a single codex for each of the main traitor legions just 'cause...

Dark Eldar, HAH!, like an inside joke.

Yea, but judging from the last CSM dex they have fallen out of favor. And DE are kind of a pipe dream but seriously from wikipedia there have been 13 loyalist MeQ codexes (SM, DA, BA, SW) compared to 2 Dark Eldar. Also Vanilla SM got a 3rd 4th & 5th ed while Necrons are still on 3rd.

I think they're due, over due. But I'm going off topic now & don't want to incur the wrath of the mods so I'll shut my trap.

Libby BA Dreads...only c'ause Forge World did a Chappy Dread.

As for sleeping in coffins, what else do you expect from them... you should be happy they don't have BloodBat Fliers to rival the Thunderwolf Cavalry.

This codex reveals how inventive GW really is. ha snone else noticed the Gw seems to love people strangling people in the most stupid times?

Horus strangles Sanguinus (Sanguinus decides not to fight back while horus kills him?)
Fulgrim strangles avatar (Avatars need to breathe?)
Ork warlord strangles the emp (while the emporer is much stronger than an ork but decides just to let the ork have some fun?)
Mepiston strangles daemon prince (A sm manages to strangle some 3 times his size, much stronger and a psycopath)

I'm not an expert but I doubt strangling something mid battle is the smartest idea.

Who ever said the Emperor was stronger than a WarLORD. WarBOSS, sure. Warlords are super-strong, have awesome psyker abilities thanks to their sheer Will, and they're freaking commanding a huge army. They're the biggest for a reason.

"From the fires of Betrayal unto the blood of revenge we bring the name of Lorgar, the Bearer of the Word, the favored Son of Chaos, all praise be given to him. From those that would not heed we offer praise to those who do, that they might turn their gaze our way and gift us with the Boon of Pain, to turn the Galaxy red with the blood, and feed the hunger of the Gods."

The DA just have the odd usage of all their termies in one go. The Salamanders are the terminator kings when it comes to numbers.

As for plasma weapons, the DA are supposed to have loads of those.

Also, I love the fact that they fought alongside the Necrons . . . Gotta have some MEQ love to destroy those damn Tyranids lol

I would think that chapter 666 has the mostest, and that the space wolves have the same # as Sallies. The GK's give termie armour to anyone who wants it almost, and has something like 4000 marines. Becauese they're the Inquisition, who get what ever they want, up to and including 2000 suits of TDA, for free, just by asking. While the wolves have a leigion's worth at their disposal.

Well I bet the blood angels have penises that are fifteen feet long and can use kamehameha beams out of their asses. Then when they are cornered they can cast meteo and summon a thousand doom riders all snorting cocaine and riffing on their electric Yamaha's, by that time my balls would of exploded from the awesome and I would shed a single tear in delight.

Also no matter what happens and what codices is released no one will be happy, and the fluff will always go one full way to the other, look at the ------ they had novels and now they are written out I mean ------ once had a codex.

There are 3000 Grey Knights. When you consider that powered armour is for the equivalent of what normal marines would have as scouts, it makes sense that terminator armour is the standard for fully trained Knights.

Not quite.
Remember, the Salamanders are the ONLY legion that we know was never split up in chapters.
They lost a lot of infantry at Istvan but it was infantry mostly, all of the legions worth of vehicle and heavy support (land raiders etc) are still at Nocturne/Prometheus. Logically they should have acces to a legions worth of wargear.

besides they are the undisputed masters at high tech manufactoring and maintenance. As far as the wolves they at least split away the 13 company and the DAs have devided their legion and wargear many times over in subsequent foundings.

Now, I loves me some Salamanders, but that doesn't sound right. Don't they have at least one confirmed successor, the Black Dragons? And I assumed they had more, unnamed successor chapters out there. Where does it say they were never split?

As far as who has the most Termie armor and Land Raiders, I would say that Black Templars probably have quite a few, since they have somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-6000 marines.

In a Toyota, plotting revenge.

No the black dragons are just suspected to be a successor. But, because the high lords don't know anything about basic organization skills, the info was lost and no one knows where the black dragons come from. But I think they came from the sallies.

So now the Space Wolves aren't a legion and they were split into chapters?

*scrolls down list, seeing one branch that wasn't known to seperate during a founding*

For some reason, I see your logic is flawed.
