I received some metal nobs from ebay that had already been painted. While the jobs aren't bad, they aren't in the style I'm trying impart. Do you all have any suggestions how I can strip of the paint?

Simple Green and an old toothbrush.

Or just buying the Castrol SuperClean or Simple Green and having a bash at it...

It's hardly churlish to suggest someone use the search function before posting a question that gets asked at least once a week.

Use nail polish remover.

I soak them in washing up liquid and hot water for about 24 hours, then scrup with a stiff toothbrush. You will probably need to get the last little bits off with a toothpick of fine point file.

If you can get hold of it, I've heard Mr. Muscle is a very good tool for this.

Although, this may be aimed at British people only, I don't know where Mr. Muscle is sold

Pine-Sol seems to work pretty good on metal models. Eats plastic ones.

+1 for Simple Green.
I just used it to remove the paint on over 40 metal minis,works great.

No, what I was saying was that painting and modelling questions go in the painting and modelling section, rather than the Blogs section, and that there is already a lot of information on this scattered through the forums.
