I guess my topic question is: Do you think "gender topics" are being blurred as we enter the digital age? "Gender Topics" being what's ok for a boy to like or a girl to like.

sounds like a good idea, though be sure to make dash's 20% cooler than the rest

I think it's true that the gender line has become a little blurred over the ages and its ok for men to like cute stuff and women to like boy stuff ^^ I know that if back when I was 5 and said "I like MLP" I would be laughed out of theplayground but the other day one or two of my mates found out I was a brony and were cool with it. I think it has a little to do with how old you are though seeing as when your a kid you avoid girly things like the plague but when your more mature you have a more open mind

Ok, To understand why it is consdered wrong and weird for men to like girly stuff you must look to the past. As many know it wasnt even a couple of decades ago the women got thr right to vote(Before that they where considered lower then men) And we still feel thw dichotomy today in society. Women make less in the work force.
Ok so know lets get into Gender. While many think gender means you biological assignment in sociology circle it is a state of mind often associated with a certain sex. There are two main ones
Masculine and Feminine.
Masculinity is often associated with the following things. Lack of sensitive emotions or if present the need to conceal them, Love of sports and violence. While they do have friends that you care about shown emotion are a no no(no hugging) And the feeling of needing to provide for the family.
Feminitity is nurturing and caring. Generally more emotional then masculinity. Deep personal emotional connections with friends that show. Love of less violent beautiful thing. Ginerally it is this personality that raises kids and takes care of the household.
I dont need to tell who which ones are associated with which Sex.
So keeping in mind that women are in some cases(even subconsciously or not even realizing it) considered lowlier then men. If i Man does girly stuff he is lowering himself to the status of a women. What women wants a man thati snt up for providing?
But!!!! The reason the it is more allowed in the reverse(women liking guy stuff) is because it is considered.women bring themselves up towards men. therefore empowering.

Nope. Because pinkie is smart. She has a Doctorate is baking.

I don't think it's the anonymity of the Internet that does it as much as the communication it provides. Shifts in society values and ideas are constant but being more easily able to find the people who think the same things you do allows new beliefs to grow and change faster.

I'm fighting a cold, in class most days and night(s), and work 20+ hours.
