Reading RT RPG I came across a piece of fluff talking about a jump pack and it said that the power lasted for one hour of sustained flight.I am wondering does that apply for non-astartes models or the astartes model have the same supply(or even limitless since they have sub-atomic core in the backpack).

Hail to the creeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!baby Ask not the moot a question, for he will give you three answers, all of which will result in a public humiliation.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Well, even a power pack like a fusion generator needs fuel, and will have heat build up, etc.

You will also need something to fire out of the jet pack as thrust, which you will need to carry with you. Even if you are doing something like ultra velocity particles (for example a couple of grammes of material going at a large fraction of the speed of light going backwards will move something much heavier at running speed forwards), you will eventually run out of material to chuck out of the back end so the user can move forward.

Then we have solved case, mostly.I think that Astartes jump packs last much more longer since they are surely more advanced than other models.Astartes always get the best things.

Is there any piece of fluff which says how high can they get personally I think that they can fly until the oxygen becomes a problem.

They get high and fly then?

IMO, the name "jumppack" implies its not a "flightpack".
Just fine to descend controlled from a thunderhawk flying low or move up on rooftops.

Target locked,ready to fire

And it can keep you in the air for an hour(maybe longer in astartes model, but maybe that will be revealed in the upcoming Deathwatch),useful for fighting those pesky Stormtroopers(joke).
