Poor quality, but at the price people are prepared to part with their cash for them so...

But who amongst us has notified GW of the possible infringement?

For all eBay write about protecting IP, I've reported a few recasters several times and nothing happened. Writing to GW, as Mr. Burning mentions, might be better.

Wow, those recasts are gak. FW sometimes has flawed products but wow, a 5yo could spot those are fake.

--The whole concept of government granted and government regulated 'permits' and the accompanying government mandate for government approved firearms 'training' prior to being blessed by government with the privilege to carry arms in a government approved and regulated manner, flies directly in the face of the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.

Not everyone cares though. If their general modeling assembly and painting skills are bad, who is going to notice?

Cheap FW casts? No such animal.

Bad FW casts? More common than people think.
Bad recasts? No more common than the bad originals.

He'll just keep relisting the items.

You don't always see anything happen right away. Sometimes the seller will continue for a while as the relevant legal people need to gather evidence.

The seller mac-ace (who was prosecuted in the US a couple of years back) was selling on ebay for well over a year before he was finally pulled up.

Why don't you call them up and find out.

Whoever plops down hard earned coin for that crap, deserves getting shafted with that hot bag of mess.

If you get anything from this seller, your paying too much. You don't even know what sort of quality that the doors look like, if anything from those pictures, you might as well make your own and save yourself the heartache.

TBH you get what you pay for. If you pay 99p for a set of 2 doors, then expect rubbish. =]

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

I honestly don't know how anyone could be that stupid, any sort of capable artist should be able to produce something for the same amount of effort that is actually good.

Well, *clearly*, in this case, the guy bought a lot of pre-Chinese FW stuff, and in the rush to fill his order, FW UK just rushed the stuff out the door. Due to the low quality of FW UK, he's just selling the stuff to get rid of it.

The very insinuation that any of it might be recast is improper slander and libel unless anyone can actually prove that these are indeed recasts.

Well I've seen recasts of a higher quality than those. There are some amazing things out there for making cheap, good quality moulds

Honestly if I was keeping my SM I would order a crap load of this stuff and then send it off to GW.

If you read their IP fine print it states anyone that turns in recasts and information on were they got them will receive all new items 1:1 with the fakes.

So anyone that wants cheep FW stuff nows the time!

Nah, I figure for the price I paid its worth it for the time I save in having to try to make my own.

Time is money after all.

I know they're gonna look like crap, but they'll work nicely on battle damaged rhinos and such, couple of laz burns here and there no biggie.

Clearly those are recasts from the ravenwing upgrade sprue. Unless Forgeworld has begun casting those exact same parts in white resin.

Hi John

If he is legit then I unreservedly apologise.

But if the casts originate from FW as claimed, why is there no clear statement of source in the description? Surely stating "FW seconds" is going to help sell them.

Again, the clue is in the name.
fwiw slander relates only to the spoken word. Can't be both slander and libel - okay will stop being a smartass now
