Just been putting together some of my new Blood Angels stuff and noticed that the box art for the new Baal Predator, Death company and Sanguinary Guard all have this sculpture featured in the background.

Could this be another large statue to be released as plastic terrain? I hope so as the knock kneed marine released earlier this month did not get me excited enough to buy one, but a blood angel with devotional chalice of blood for the blood god would be a different bucket of blood altogether

The Baal Predator side sponsons look improved. Maybe they are more stable and durable?

Yes, the side sponsons are much better than the old predator. They are fixed at the top and bottom to give a much firmer fixing.

i think it would be ott if they release a bloody statue to go with bloodangles, i mean you can spoil them with a new codex and new amazing sculpts but devoted terrain is just overkill, as The Dreadnote said i am confident its just a cg model

A skull-faced hooded man with wings and a chalice wouldn't be 'Blood Angel Terrain'. It'd be pretty much par for the course as far as GRIMDARK terrain goes. It's fairly generic.

Has it been in the magazine/codexes at all? If so then it could be a future model if not then it's probably just a bit of cgi art as noted.

It looks about as "real" as the planet in the background. Therefore I now think that we could expect a new plastic "planet" terrain piece. It will probably be direct only, as it will require qualified GW personnel to install it in your ceiling.

Hmm, there does seem to be a gap on the hood and on the shoulder. Why would they add that to the image if it was just a drawing?

But if it was an actual upcoming model, I wouldn't count on it appearing any time soon. Just look how long the SM statue took.

I can say with 100% certainty that there will be plastic hive cities, plastic IG landers, plastic hooded statues and even plastic planets released here in the next couple of years.

Everything you see on the boxes will be getting models! Even if it looks like an obvious CG or photoshop job it's getting a model!


FFS...if ever you needed more proof that Space Marine players are spoiled rotten, it's here in this thread. They just got a dedicated terrain piece in the Space Marine statue that everyone has been literally DYING to get, and still they aren't happy, and want even more terrain. We need statues for every 1000 chapters! We need guys in robes, guys with wolf heads, guys with flames and dragons on them, guys in more heroic poses with different weapons, the Emperor! More!

And DE and Necrons are still trying to make do with 3rd edition codices. We got Space Marine players crying for more terrain when we have entire armies that haven't gotten a single new thing for over a decade.

And Yet, Sid Styler, GW is _more_ likely to listen to this [Mod Edit - We try to not throw that word around in casual conversations. Thanks!] cry for more marine-specific terrain than make new models and new codices for the old armies.

Heck, FORGET terrain for a second, even though GW terrain is awesome, if it will funnel resources into THOROUGH and TIMELY FAQ's....

There's also various upside down guns on sample pictures on the back, including on shot where one sponson Plasma Cannon is upside down while the other isn't.

I, despite being a SM, want more Xenos terrain. I don't like how few things I can find that are Xenos.
