I don't like the Griffons, they kind of look like clowns IMHO
The novamarines on the other hand are very cool looking, I think you should go for them.

It has been varified by John Hurt that the Ultramarines are indeed the greatest space marine chapter.

Definitely Novamarines.

White is definitely a higher degree of difficulty and looks amazing when done well.

I would say Novamarines, one of the major reasons being the relative abundance (and I do mean relative) of Howling Griffons in existence...I've seen a couple of Howling Griffons but never Novamarines, so I think that is influencing people a fair amount.

Plus, they'll look pretty awesome when all painted up, though I unfortunately don't have much painting advice. I imagine the base color for the white would look something like the final blue of the armor though

I'm not a huge fan of the quartered pattern either, but I think if it's done cleanly it has a lot of potential. Having said that, Novamarines are way cooler than Howling Griffons

I tend to dislike most schemes involving red and yellow.

I'd go with the Nova's, is a cleaner looking scheme and if done well can be really nice and appealing to the eye.

I would vote for Novas as well.

Thanks. Found a few better pix...

But, yeah... I like the Novas more than the Howling Griffons. Although either way, you have a nigh unique army!

I love quartered marines, so I like both choices. But, because the backstory of Novamarines is awesomesauce, I chose Novamarines.

If I had to choose between the two I would say Nova, but honestly would love to see someone with your skill do something like these guys.

Just because I've never seen an army of these guys.
