Ive actually found that too much light will cause the mobs to spawn in dumb places that you dont think they should be able to (like up in the air)

so I built a few pitch black "caves' which are just basically holes in the ground covered by marked 1 block thick roofs, that lead into a giant underground death machine, or just a lava pit depending how far away they are

solved the issue.
Once I get access to the server I'll begin construction

Yeah there should be very few mobs spawning inside the wall, my grinder is in there and its 25x25 and 5 stories high, with a light level of 0.... So 95% of the mobs or something like that should be spawning inside it.

I've now found six dungeons on my singleplayer, all pretty close to my house. I know exactly where two of them are, one is destroyed and the rest are so far deep underground I couldn't be bothered to make traps out of.

I've got loads of saddles, buckets, gunpowder and co-co beans but no music disk yet.

Music disks are actually really really easy to get lol.

Find a creeper and a skeleton. Get them stuck in a pit, shoot the skeleton 3-4 times then try to force the skeleton to shoot the creeper.

Fixed your post , if you only shot the skele then the creeper would explode upon 1 hit by the skele and creepers need 5 shots from an arrow to kill it.

While playing a prank against the AFK wolf, I dig him into a deep hole, where we stumbled upon a HUGE cave system. It's now mine, corpses' and wolf's little base, where we grow trees, wheat, hunt mobs, gather ore and lava and generally mess about underground.
we have an awesome entry route, chests, furnaces, beds, an incinerator and crafting tables, the whole shebang. It's pretty cool.

Oh man, i think my minecraft is gonna be broke again shortly.

Added so many mods its not funny XD.

Call me a killjoy but I think we should put in a minimum post count for anyone applying to join the server from now on.

I don't mean posts a lot either, I mean has like 50 posts minimum to stop people joining to play.

But if we set a low minimum, we may just get spam

Ah but if users are posting 50 posts of spam then that proves they aren't the kind of people we want on the server.

Having a necessary post count also closes the net on anyone who does grief, as there are fewer people to investigate.

Also to the player whose tunnel intersects the canal, PLEASE DIG YOUR TUNNEL DEEPER. I'll need that in the future to get out, because of the sanc wall blocking my way.

Cybronx needs to stop harassing me over PMs and in chat.

I would like to say that Cybronx should be not only banned from the MC server, but possibly from Dakka itself.

He has been stalking and Harassing Melissia, and I will have none of it.

PMs have been sent to Mel by Cy, and the contents of said messages sent Mel into a rage.

To keep the atmosphere positive on Dakka, and a lot less stalk-y, I think that a ejection from the server may be necessary.

On the other hand, if this is a misunderstanding, please disregard this message.
