Hi everyone

I have been toying with the idea of diaorama of something quite different,
I have recently taken a fancy to the Titanic or boats of any kind, and have wanted to make a very beautiful looking diorama.

I was thinking of getting a bog standard Titanic kit and carefully cutting out the windows along the side of the hull as well as those ontop and place 3 yellow LED's so that ther windows are lit up.
The base would be the ocean and be that special liquid stuff used to make water affects.

The idea is to get the titanic looking lovely on a calm see with a nice warming feeling from the LEDs

What are your thoughts on the whole diorama and anything to make it better ?

Cheers
Wolf

Well to be serious I would suggest some cotton in the chimneys to look like smoke and if it's a big model, maybe some people wandering around the deck.

It has been varified by John Hurt that the Ultramarines are indeed the greatest space marine chapter.

sounds good Wolf

go for it

btw Do you mean the resin/water effect stuff?Although it may be an easier option and work well for a calm sea,
there are other methods that may be worth considering.
The resins can be pricey and for a sea dio may not actually be worth it.

An iceberg with people jumping off the side of the boat and a microphone emitting screams from the deck.
But in all seriousness, make sure to add small ice bergs to the water. That would be cool.

Not sure about the icebergs as they would look odd unless reasonably big imho
also iirc the iceberg was untypically quite far south rather than Titanic sailing through northern icy waters.

A single iceberg ahead of the ship would be amusing, and fit the theme.

For the ship itself, you could consider the little smoke generators used for model railways? i believe they're electrically powered, so you could switch them on for special occasions.

I'd have a the ship sitting unaware on the water, and some kind of sea monster going to grab it from beneath. If you used water effects, I could see this being a really cool diorama. Whatever you do though, sea monsters are a must have.
