Hi Everyone!

I finally got round to working out exactly what I want my finalised Khorne hoard to look like. I have a lot of work to do. I figured a good motivational blog might get me going, and so I present to you:


My Khorne Marines!


First off, DP with wings. A lot of work went into the positioning of this guy, which comes across as kinda subtle in the photos . I also realised after the photo was edited how badly the sword is out of alignment. Now fixed.



I basically mangled a Be'Lakor kit, from warriors of chaos, onto my dude. Lots of green stuff, lots of fur.





The base is long overdue an overhaul so this is a work in progress. I may go back over some more highlighting etc. I painted this a while ago and think could do a better job now. Will probably ruin it the first time I touch it with a brush.


Sticking to the theme 'Dudes with wings', here's my Lord:



He is a zerker with an old terminator head and bits from the excellent possessed kit. I have also stuck him on an infeasibly big rock. Compensating for something maybe... Another one waiting for a re-base. He does actually have two legs! He is armed with a daemon weapon/Lightning claws/power weapon/etc. Take that WYSIWYG!



Lately I have been working on some old-school rapetors. More zerker bashing.



The packs are from Maxmini and are reasonable quality for a pittance compared to official models. These are not even close to being finished. I have a squad of 10 with an icon and champ so I'll get those up when they're more done.

I have a million zerkers to paint. Got about 8 done.



Enjoy converting them. Painting them, not so much.

Still to paint: More zerks, marine squad, rhinos, Lraider etc. I also need to source some lesser daemons (but which models!?)

Anyway, more to come so please let me know what you think! Comments/criticism welcome (other than saying my photoshop skills suck).

The pose on your lord is great. Looks like he's just swooping in, sort of hopping over the rock - ready for the kill.

Thanks. It's just a shame I never get to use him. He's just not as scary as the daemon prince for the same points. I might make some combat raptors to hold his 'hand' and get him into the fight.
