You are really light on bodies and troops. Why have you gone for razorbacks with heavy flamers everywhere? If you're doing razorback spam you need far far far more vehciles. If not they are a very poor choice for assault marines as they have to drive up to the enemy then wait around a turn before they can charge...

I really can't see this army doing anything particularly well. Yuo have no ranged AT fire power to speak of, due to razorbacking your assault squads you've actually made the army pretty slow, and I can't even see you firing those heavy flamers at all.

Basically it seems reliant on your enemy being a slow advancing horde that stops about 13" away from you so you can roll up to him and flame him to bits. I can't see this army working in any other situation.

Oh it will work. With that many heavy flamers I don't have to get out of my transports. 5 heavy flamer tanks that are fast are pretty deadly against almost anything. And I am still marines they can still take an awful lot of firepower.

Sorry but you have what 5 Rhino chassis I have to blow up and 1 predator? hardly a massive challenge at 1,500 with 2-3 turns of shooting as you slowly drive up to me. And lets assume I',m all mech because most competitive armies are once the 2 maybe 3 if I roll badly tanks get into heavy flamer range what are they going to do to me? Round about nothing I'm guessing.

Seriously you need long ranged AT and if you're planning on keeping the squads in the Razorbacks why are you blowing so many points on upgrading them?

Honestly this comes up against a proper razorback spam list and you will be tabled.

So what was the point of posting the list? It's not a fluffy list and its not an effective list and you aren't interested in making it more effective given your responses to my advice so I have to ask what was the point of posting it?

Good ole burn the heretic and the xeno army list.

There are better ways to burn and purge the heretic than using Razorback spam with Heavy Flamers. You could do Baal Preds with Flame Storm Cannons and Heavy Flamer sponsons instead. Not only will they draw more fire and survive most of it, but they will be more effect at the task you're looking for them to do. You've wasted way to many points on Thunder Hammers which, by the way, are terrible against vehicles that have moved without a squad of them swinging. Most of the time people will just avoid you after they've blown up your paper thin Razorbacks.

So your saying if I added a second Baal Predator and power-fists on the sarges it would be better.

I think if you're doing that, you still need the army to be faster. Well, faster and more heavily armoured. I don't play competitive either, but you have to make a good solid list if you're going to have fun. It's no fun getting beaten into the ground.

For example, my Eldar list usually ends up having at least 5 S8 shots per turn. Not because I spam, but because it's literally the only option that makes sense on the vehicles/units I have.

After average shooting I'd probably have more than half of your army immobilized/wrecked/heavy flamers destroyed. With so few troops my banshees and scorpions would clean up the rest and it wouldn't be too fun for either of us. Go very fast with lots of vehicles or make the list slow with lots of bodies is my advice.

I field power weapons. You really don't need the fists or hammers if your list is properly balanced. And, with the Sanguinary Priests you're going to be striking at str5 any how, which is good enough to kill most stuff with ease. Remember, you're not an Ork, the power fist isn't your only option to take down vehicles semi reliable. You have fast Predators with las cannon goodness, abuse them if you have to but you absolutely need to have long range fire power in any army list, fun, fluffy, or competitive. Without it, frankly, you're list is going to suck. There is too much armor in the game now. And, yes, a second Baal or another Predator would help your list. I would also drop the Honor Guard squad. You're spending 300 points on stuff that has to wait to get into CC. Not good.

What if I took out the command squad and put in 2 dreads with twin linked lascannon and put Seth in an assault squad.

The Predators are better, generally tougher, and faster. For 270 you can get two Preds with AC/LC config and have points left over to pimp some other squads. Just a question, are you basing this list on models that you have? If you are, you might as well tell us what you have so we have a better idea of what we're working with.

No just a list I thought up. Was thinking of it for my next army. 2 preds over 2 dreads. I guess that would give me a little more long range punch

the meltabombs in the assault-razor are point waste
because the Hammer have more attacks against the tanks in combat.

and maybe think about it to take 1 assaultcannon on one razor to popup tanks

What about if I took the Baal predator out the thunder hammers and melta bombs. Kept the Honor Guard without hand flamers. And put in 2 Vindicators? I still have enough points to up grade the honor guard and Stern Gaurd transport to have Assault cannon or Las Cannon Plasma duo.

I would recommend against those Vindicators. They have one big gun. If it gets blown off, you have a useless 145 point vehicle. Since so many things get cover saves in 5th ed. your str 10 large blast isn't going to do very well against hordes anyhow. Against vehicles it's literally hit or miss. So, you better keep some weighted dice around to facilitate your anti-vehicular needs otherwise you're not going to do much with those vindi's. The AC/LC Preds are better for less points, have longer range, and can fire 3 weapons opposed to 1 that's hit or miss.

Again, you're spending way to many points on that honor guard squad. You'd be better off taking something else, like an Assault Squad for less points. On top of being way cheaper they also give you a discount on the razorback they're sitting in. You would have a ton of points left over to spend elsewhere.

There's no such thing as a Assault Cannon/Lascannon. There's a Lascannon/Twin Plasmagun that you can take, however.

You have 15 troops at 1500 points. . .frankly, that's terrible. You'll never win an objective game. Your opponent will just sweep your troops and avoid everything else until the last few turns when they grab all the objectives and do a merry little victory dance.

I can see what you're trying to do. . .I think, but you're using the wrong army book to accomplish it. BA's are all about mobility and Assault striking power, and at that they excel. You're trying to turn them into a Nilla Marine list and it just isn't working. I would suggest using the standard SM codex for this list. You'll find it much more forgiving and you can cram more stuff into it because their vehicles are, overall, less expensive.

I have to whole heartedly disagree, Vanilla marines suck at razorback spam. Space wolves would be a much better fit for this list the ultimate in space marine defences!

Looks better. I would recommend getter power weapons in those assault squads. If you get the charge off they'll be striking at str 5 ini 5 with the Sanguinary Priests buffing them. Don't forget, you can deep strike that LR.

They're in rhinos they'd never get the charge off...

They will if they sit there for a while and then rush out to mop up a small group of something. . .maybe Just because he has rhinos doesn't mean he has to move them. . .I guess. Having assault squads that aren't going to assault is just silliness to me. This list is very Nilla, isn't it. Just use the Wolves codex. It will work so much better for what you're trying to do. If you plan on keeping this list I would suggest swapping the assault units in rhinos to Tac units is rhinos. At least that way you get a free flamer and missile launcher, and you can sit on an objective an collect dust. Or just take as many LR's as you can and then deepstrike on the enemy. . .hazza!

Alright how about a list with 3 Raiders not sure which ones yet I can choose any of them. All my assault Squads in them. But my problem is is that enough fire power and units to win 1500 point games. I still have 25 points to work with.

Just kidding they are good. And do you really need 2 land raiders? I mean they are good and will get you close to your targets but it is a big point sink and you don't have a lot of models on the board for point capture or what not.

Landraider spam no one does it like BAs...

If yo're doing that here's my advice. get a 4th raider and drop all the assault squads down to minimum amounts. Or if you want to keep them full give them the same special weapon so they are not wasting fire. So go double melta, double melta and double falmer.

I'd also drop it down to 2 Sanguinary preists that would give you enough coverage and then you could throw a few powerfists around. I'm also not sure hwat seth is doing for you in tis list that a different cheaper HQ couldn;t do whilst allowing you to put a few upgraqdes on the LR (like MMs).

If you can't decide which LRs to take simple. Take 1 of each .
