some of might have read blood red 1's post in the 40k background forum, this is really the same question.

in the world of warhammer fantasy. . who (or what) would you be? Empire General? High elf mage? thick 'eaded ork?

oh.. and why did you choose as you did?

Though my heart is with the Children of Chaos, I'd have to say I would be a very spell-oriented vampire.

Blast them from afar, and raise walls of bodies in front of me for protection, and being almost immortal.

Thats very nice, I have to say somewhat the same, researching dark dark magic, having undead "slaves" do my every bidding, my main goal being the elimination of my kinds (vampires) weaknesses, (kinda like in Blade 2) make us immune to sunlight garlic etc. Being truly immortal,

I'd probably wind up being some generic Empire levy.

If I could choose? Those with the best lives are, seemingly, Dwarvish Engineers. Oh sure, there's the threat of Goblins sacking your hold, but I'd at least get to have a jolly good time before hand. Assuming I can't pick a Hobbit from Moot, of course.

That too.

And if you're in the East, people don't kill you on sight for being a heretical monster that they don't believe exists.

I'd have to say i'd be a dwarf. Been working trades for 5-6 years now, love my beer and love grumbling about how young people are lost and us older more mature folks know better, how it was better in my time, etc etc. Definatly a Dwarf.

Best of all, you skipped the entire "Throw Skaven into meatgrinder" stage by jumping past Night Runner and Gutter Runner.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

I would be one of two things.
I would be a mentally unstable, magic wielding vampire whose only grip on sanity is the glitter of the shiny pretty thing on his head (Crown of the Damned)
I could also be a Dark Elf Dreadlord, sitting in his big formation of Black Guard, drinking tea, stroking the women and laughing that the leezards can't kill some SQUISHY ELVES
The vampire would be cool, but the Dark Elf would be quite a bit more glamorous and...clean.

My First Answer: The dude who's banging Ariel Queen of the Faeries. Such an LDO answer.

If I had to be a character that's named in the books, or a role given in the books: I'm particularly taken by the Sword Masters of Hoeth. I'd be one.
