The word you're looking for is "poll" - a pole is a large shaft, or euphemism for male genetalia. I figured it wasn't the latter and was just a typo. Also, do some work on your spelling and grammar overall - people take you more seriously when you can spell correctly.

As for the topic at hand, I voted for "Nothing Special" as Blood Angels are just that. There's some really silly stuff in that codex (Stormraven, flying Dreadnoughts, etc) but nothing game breaking. People are just up in a tizzy because it's the newest Space Marine codex. Once Grey Knights/Black Templars/Dark Angels gets a release, it will all just be a funny memory.

I came into this thread expecting Blangle Genitalia.

I leave this thread disappoint.

I think the Space Wolf codex opened Pandora's Box and the Tyranids and Blood Angels codexes are just the beginning.

The only LOLWUT? moment in the SW codex for me was Thunderwolf Cavalry. Honestly, Space Marines riding wolves just seems stupid to me.

There were many, many more of these moments with the Blood Angels, namely the über Dread army, FnP on terminators, Mephiston, lord of Meth, and their flyer than apparently no other Space Marines are smart enough to incorporate.

Oh and their assault marines get a discount for buying a Rhino. That's some weak gak.


P.S. I don't think there's anything wrong with the 'Nid dex. Haven't played against it, but nothing seems terribly ridiculous.

Wrong. They get a discount for buying any dedicated transport. It's very similar to the vanilla dex where assault squads gets rhinos or pods for free. The BAs up the ante by getting a discount raiders and razorbacks, but it's not like it's a new idea. The BA had in the pdf codex too. Back then it was a 40-point rhino or 50-point pod for free.

Now keep in mind that I'm a new BA player myself and I love how the army plays but some of the fluff is... well ridiculous.

I think the only overpowered part of the BA are the new models, look fething great

I've not had much experience against the new 'Nid book but some people are complaining about it, there is even a thread open right now about it. Both of the new Marine books seem a bit over-the-top but all fair.

The problem is the stories, themes, and overall feel of the books. It's all 'blood filled Sanguinius cups with blood on them and a picture of Sanguinius that we look at when we cry about Sanguinius' blood while almost losing our crap about blood.' Or 'Wolf men using our runic wolf necklaces and wolf t-shirts made of wolf skin and our fangs are growin' in because we're part wolf.'

It's all such a stress to make something far more unique than it really is. It's like, someone trying to make one colour of yellow seem drastically different than another, almost exact color yellow. IMO, the constant cycle of Marine - x - Marine - y codex releases is putting more stress on this game than there really should be.

There was nothing wrong with the Space Wolves Codex judging by how badly beaten it can be. I have as much success with my Smurfs and Imperial Cannon Fodder as my Wolves.

In my opinion C:BA is slagged so much for the following reasons:

-It's a Marine dex
-FNP everywhere
-Terribad fluff (BLUD 4 TEh BLUD EMPRA)
-It's a Marine dex
-Off rules (Hay guys, check out my blender claws)
-Its power in comparison to the Tyranid codex
-It puts MEQ armies back in the metagame
-The amount of "Oh, I liked the Blood Angels/Flesh Tearers/Knights of Blood/whatever but didn't like the PDFdex (read: TO THE BANDWAGON!)"
-IT'S A FETHING MARINE DEX

Mind you, while objectively they're overpowered, I don't think they'll have much of an advantage at tournaments simply because most players will have marine killing down to a science.
