If you were a ten-time Golden Daemon winner, and Kim Jong-il of North Korea offered you $10k to paint his Apoc IG foot-slogging army, would you consider it unethical to accept the commission? Could such a deal be considered a 'blood diamond' of painting commissions?

I would do it. How is it unethical to paint a tabletop army for someone just because they rule their country with an iron fist? If he wanted you to paint his warheads, that's another question.

Actually, I changed my mind. If the money he was offering me came from his family fortune, hoarded through honest means, then sure. Otherwise, I'd get suspicious of where Korea's taxes were going.

I wouldn't do it, but not necessarily because of the ethics. I don't trust that Kim Jong-il would actually give me the money, and I'd never be willing to paint an apoc IG footslogger army to any halfway decent standard. Agreed. Working for a dictator aside, an IG Spocolypse Infantry force could easily work out to around eight bucks an hour - good for painting minis, but not good enough. As a ten-time Golden Daemon Winner, I would definitely ask for more than that.

That's not enough zeroes to get a one or two time winner to do it, much less a ten time winner.

Congratulations, your dismissive and conclusory commentary has provided nothing to this discussion or the wider community on whose behalf you arrogantly presume to speak nor does it engage in any meaningful way the remark it lamely targets. But you did manage to gain experience points toward your next level of internet tough guy.

I'd do it.

But I'd also lace the paints and sealer with a cumulative neuro-toxin, so each piece he touched brought him that much closer to death...

If he really wanted that army painted he would just kidnap whichever painter he wanted and force them to do it.

Inside that little light in your refridgerator

An apocalypse army is at least 3000 points. He may only have around 300 guardsmen.

Hell, that's not even a challenge if you have an airbrush and a craplot of catachan green.
