My local store owner was rather disheartened when I told him the same thing. I don't wanna buy a bunch of models that are going to be lame in the new codex. I'm already worried how bad my Nob Mob (8 Nobz - Choppa/Slugga, 1 Nob - Waagh! banner/ PK, Painboy, all Cybork Bodies) that run with my Warboss, is going to get nerfed! Last game I ran them in, they shredded Marines like they were in IG armor.
Smart game stores will find ways to adapt. Maybe keeping a list for each interested customer of what they want that they can update as more stuff trickles out. Kind of how a cart on an Web store works but only for these big multi week releases.

The problem is, he's new to GW and he has to do $X in GW sales over the next X days to keep the deal he's getting from them. It's a small store that just started carrying GW (2 weeks ago). BUT, since he did 6-10 people have started/restarted the GW hobby, so it's been a huge boost the the playing community in the area. He's even offering a DEEP discount for a limited time to intro GW to new people. He's not gritting his teeth over GW either, he has a LARGE group of customers for other games that pay the bills. The only reason he picked-up GW is their rep kept throwing in free stuff until he gave-in. He's playing it smart, he's passing a lot of his deals (free shipping, etc) on to his customers, as an incentive to buy locally, not online.

To get back on track...Any rumors about units getting "Rage" in the new book? It would seem ideal for a Warboss & maybe even Nobz.

I'd say rage sounds like warlord trait bait to me. They're going to need 5-6 of them, and both Ghaz and Grotsnik will likely be getting assigned ones, plus whoever gets moved into a HQ slot. I'd say Grotsnik gets it. We just have to hope nothing in the codex get Khorn Berserkered (gains rage, but -1 attack)
Personally, I was hoping rampage would show up in the book in a few places. On a key unit or two, like the Deff Dread, or one of the relics we'll get. So far it's on the Gorkanaut, but not the Morkanaut.

Yes. As there will be every release. Doesn't need pointing out week after week.

Looking at the Sprues, it looks like the bodies are monopose and single piece like the Nobs, only the front half of the torso is seperate, allowing you to swap those around.

well, it would be nice (clever?) from GW to already offer some rebate on collections, as an incentive for the players not to wait until the codex is out
this seems to be a 4+ week release, with the codex maybe only at the very end
many have said here that they will wait to see the codex before buying
I'm sure that would not be the same if GW was offering some rebate on those collections from the start
just wanted to check, and since I did, I wanted to share with the community

This is actually a good thing - it seems like the whole point to designing the Flash Gitz the way they are is to be able to mix and match between the Nobz box, making Freebooters and extra Flash Gitz with the kombi weapons from the Nobz (the basic gun bodies are practically identical and you can see where parts were reused in the Flash Gitz box).

Woah, has that ever happened before? Seems to unlike GW to have value added sculpts specifically created to lower sales of new models.

It's probably the cheapest and easiest way to design and manufacture them, reusing the basic design means they can easily fit the pieces on the sprues and only have to make cosmetic alterations rather than making entirely new sculpts.
It also ensure the range has the same aesthetic.

Ruling question: "all friendly models with this special rule in units within 6""means the WHOLE unit withing 6", or has a model within 6"?
This might be in the wrong thread, sorry.

I've been wondering if Loota wagons were going to be replaced after reading that rumor. Having seen that picture with the new artillery/big guns. I am wondering if we will see some kind of gun wagon. based on the truk or battle wagon . I can't see GW leaving holes in the heavy support section. Seems like an easy fix with a kit meant to mount on preexisting parts.

I don't think there is any validity to any codex rumors we have heard, doesn't mean they aren't correct, i just think they are guesses and wishlisting. If someone was leaking codex info like that, you would think it would be something more important than looted wagons, like info about hqs, weirdboyz, or boyz, or army wide rules
