Yeah it appears to be a new torso, one of his nipples is pierced (or something metallic poking out of his jacket), but with a different piercing and on the opposite side of the biker boy, Love new torsos, by I am reallyl excited by the 11 new heads

Also: how awesome are those new bosspole glyphs? I could see snipping the gun ones off and using them on vehicles, or making some big versions out of plasticard for a morkanaut.

I wonder if the Nobs in boys mob will still be able to have a big shoota.
If they do I will model my flash gitz using the plasma/rokkits, and keep the shoota guns to make nob with big shoota, painted yellow as Bad Moons nobs.
Fluff wise and rule wise I will be pretty close, and the only difference between a big shoota and a snazzgun is range and AP.
Actually the more I compare it and the more I realise that Nobs with big shootas are now expensive compared to Flash gitz
Boy's Nob with big shoota and bosspole is 4 points more than the git, but does not have the gitfinda. He does have however the option to purchase better armour, boys to cushion him, and of course has access to Powa Klaw.

That seems like kind of an apples-to-oranges comparison, to me (new rules v. old) I'll bet we get reduced-cost nobz in the new codex. Maybe not by a lot, but some.

Well, flash gitz dropped 3 points, but also lost heavy armor, gained stikk bombz and bosspoles, and the Snazzgun changed.
Nobz will likely stay the same price as now, but pick up stikk bombz and a boss pole, or maybe just the stikk bombz and drop 2-3 points.
I'd like to see Nobz in boyz units gain the full range of nob weapon options.
I'm also thinking that eavy armor will still be an option, maybe in the armory instead of in the unit entries.
The BoLS rumors on buggies is nice, and would be great for a 5th kit. Hopefully parts will be compatible with the Trukk and batlewagon. And Supashoota instead of big shoota is handy. Still, it's a rumor from BoLS. meaning reliably is rather low, though the rumors are not downright idiotic like what Faeit throws out there.

I'd hope so, I am usually putting a big shoota on my nobs in boys mob, so I know what "bang for my bucks" I'm getting, I was simply comparing the flash git to actual "reference" that can deliver very similar value, it's good to know the gitz are better
What do you guys think the "freebota" noise is about?
It feels like a dataslate / formation of super "elite" nobs and gitz maybe with some fun rules and/or an allied chart which read: "will ork for teeth" - and allow anyone to pick up some ork pirates as allies.

I'm pretty sure they're talking about "freebotas" as a faction rather than a unit type. It's a nob with a big choppa, who is also a freeboota, although I wouldn't consider a formation that mentions them unlikely.
Also, the "flashgit" in the picture doesn't have one of the new snazzguns, it's the arms and handle/trigger from the nob kit's kombi shoota with a bolter's box magazine, a melta barrel, and the tip of an ork exhaust pipe.

Strawman argument. Seeing the rules in a snapshot of themselves does nothing for us when deciding what should be buying. At face value, a decent enough gun with a meh range. They may very wel be worth $10 a model (/sarc). However, if we later get the codex and find out that the killa kan stayed the same points but now has FA14 and 3hp a piece.....well holy jesus! the gitz become a shelf hanger. Same thing as the people that say the helldrake deserved the Over-the-top nerf it received. Yes as a stand alone unit is was powerful....REALLY powerful....but when you look at in context with the Chaos codex as a whole its really not. It made CSM competitive. Now take the Riptide. On its own its a good unit, but I would say not OP. Now put it with the rest of the army which has LOTS of good in it and suddenly the synergy makes it over-the-top.

Kaptin Badrukk is in issue 19 as I understand it, but just fluff. Same model no mention of if/how to take him or Stateline. Some comments that they'd like to do freebooters supplement but no commitment or definite yes.

Yes, p19 of the new WDW has a blurb about Badrukk, but no rules, and the photo's just the existing model (unless it's been cunningly remade in plastic?)
Logic would suggest that he will therefore be in the new codex.

They do like to release those slates and supplements.. Given the pirate-style Gitz, my guess is that a Freebootaz supplement would appear soon.

This is exactly right imo.
When building an army the overall aim is a force which works as a whole and in reality we cannot make any decisions at all about whether to take a unit or not until the dex hits (competitive mind state ofc). Im grabbing a gitz box purely for the conversion bits and bobs. The whole 6 week release (if it truly turns out to be 6 weeks) is a marketing gimmick, with the overall aim of selling as many units as possible of every type. GW is a commercial business and to that end will think with profit in mind.
If they say released the Dex and all the units in one fell swoop then what would happen? we'd all list build then buy what we need. what happens when every week we see a new awesome ork unit up for pre-order? we most likely pre-order each one every week till the dex hits and then we have the dex and all the units.
Glad to see some fluff on Badrukk made it to WD, logically this would point more to him making an appearance in the dex (based on that what would be the point in talking about him otherwise?), or that he will appear in a suppliment.

If the rumor is right, and his old model is in the White Dwarf, his chances of going away have massively dropped. GW wouldn't show off a model they are about to give the axe.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

This multi week release is doing my 'ead in, want to buy the flash gitz and I want to spread the contents of the box over many more models as I have plenty of pirate heads and spare bodies but I know if I do that now some other awesome sets will come out and I'll regret building just using the flash gitz bits. So I'm going to sit out for a few weeks till we have clarity over what is coming out.

Once more, people are acting as though the mandate is to buy the models the day of release. Wait for the book and get it then.
THe models look great, you have a reasonable idea of their rules. If that isn't enough to make you want them, comparing theoretical changes to other heavy choices isn't going to change your mind.

I ended up sending an email to my LGS to order me one of everything...and 2 boxes of Flash Gitz. May as well have 3 full units of 10, though I am hoping for a supplement where Gitz are troops. Then I'll kitbash a bunch, I have enough Nobz waiting for conversions.
I've also have to finish up their rides. I have kitbashed together 2 battlewagons made from Valkyries and Battlewagons, I figure they'd be dropping into orbit from their Kill Krooza kinda like Thunderhawks. Only makes sense to have their drop ship also have tracks and be their ground transport, amirite?

My local store owner was rather disheartened when I told him the same thing. I don't wanna buy a bunch of models that are going to be lame in the new codex. I'm already worried how bad my Nob Mob (8 Nobz - Choppa/Slugga, 1 Nob - Waagh! banner/ PK, Painboy, all Cybork Bodies) that run with my Warboss, is going to get nerfed! Last game I ran them in, they shredded Marines like they were in IG armor.

@SquidBot
you said that you saw a model for A new Warboss. Similar to the AOBR one but bigger and with a Squig at his feet.
I think we are going to get a new character for Orks that is mentioned in the 7th edition book Dark millennium.
The one I'm talking about is Grukk Da Face Rippa. He is said to be really big.
If the artwork at the end of the Ork section is his portrait then he does have a Squig chained to him.
So my question to you is did you see this new warboss with a Big Choppa or a Power Klaw?
If its Power Klaw then its definitely Grukk Da Face Rippa!
and we will be able to take part in his RED WAAAAAAGH!
