Heres a few of my painted bits for my Goff Ork force. Da Blitz Brigade.

I'm trying to blend the newer brutal style with the older comic type of ork.

All my Boyz will be wearing rebreathers of one type of another as a rough theme.

Trukk mob 1

The Trukk.

This has had a bit of conversion work done. The Tracks were done so I could loot the wheelz for use later and other bitz were swapped or changed just to make it a bit diferent fron the standard kit.

I will update this thread with more painted stuff later. Vash

I like them, especially the vehicles. You got the mixture of styles just right. The big, flat wheels in the treads and the round, shingled turret definitely have the feel of the old ork vehicles, like the Lungbursta GW printed patterns for in the WD of yesteryear, but they don't have the same clunky, cartoonish feel. They'll fit right in on the current, grimdark battlefields. The mud looks great, too - nice and caked on. Did you use paint or dry pigments?

The Dreadnote wrote:But the Emperor already has a shrine, in the form of your local Games Workshop. You honour him by sacrificing your money to the plastic effigies of his warriors. In time, your devotion will be rewarded with the gift of having even more effigies to worship.

very nice, especially the looted vehicle. I'm not too much a fan of the darkish colours you used, but it looks great. I like the red roof thing on the looted wagon, too.

Thanks for the comments folks.

@ oadie..

The Mud is a mix of tile grout ( I'm a cheapskate miser) Khemri Brown with water if it needs thinning.
I also add a bit of static flock for churned up turf.

I use a brush that I forgot to clean paint out of as its stiff enough to load it on.

When its dry I apply acrylic Matt varnish just to make it a bit more durable.

@ Lord Nimr0d..
I like em dark. The whole In the grim darkness future there is only peolpe wearing really bright colours thing never worked for me.
Its just personal preference, bright armies look great too

Could this be moved to the P&M Plogs, I would like to add some unpainted stuff. Thanks

Lovely characterful stuff.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all

"Straight Fething Silver" Tanith first and only

I have a reputation, Modile, a reputation as a fair, honest man who treats his soldiers well and supports them in the face of darkness. Potentially, that reputation makes me soft. It seems I understand failure and forgive it. Some, like Kowle, believe me to be a weak commissar, not prepared to take the action my rank demands. Not prepared to enforce field discipline where I see it failing. I am an Imperial commissar. I will enflame the weak, support the wavering, guide the lost. I will be all things to all men who need me. But I will also punish without hesitation the weak, the incompetent, and the treasonous.
I am a Commissar. I am empowered to deliver justice wherever I see it lacking. I am empowered to punish cowardice. I am granted the gift of total authority to judge, in the name of the Emperor, on the field of combat.

More unpainted stuff. I'm terrible at actually getting paint across a whole usable army. Hopefully the added peer pressure of posting here will goad me on with the brush.

Un named Mega Armour Warboss. (Probably for use as Big Ghaz, )

Now for some strange reason I decided to make the Gun barrels rotate, fun but it made it a pain to handle as as I was adding the finer detail.
He was dropped a few times so I'm sure Git is going to be part of his name.

For those that don't its the original Skullhamma from Epic.

I could have just done the standard Baneblade conversion but it looks too lumbering compared to the old one so plasticard away.........

Balking Mad, you are! Those worky bits are amazing. Is that all plasticard? What sizes did you use?

Thanks for the comment Good Green.

There are a fair few thicknesses from 1mm (for the wheels on the Hamma) up to 4.2mm.

Everything under 2.5 is standard plasticard bought from various sources. The 3mm and above is scrounged signs once again from various sources (normally skips/trash).

I find it very hard to resist 'Ecksperimentin' on gubbins for orks, mainly to see if some thing can be done or is feasible, this sometimes results in what my missus refers to as a waste of time.

Floorpan and Turret mounts.

Looking good. I like the attention to detail in chain and engine particularly. I trust you'll be modernizing the skull Hanna a bit, but I look forward to seeing that model completed at 40k scale. Ill be checking in from time to time. Keep up the great work.

This is a new standard... I think. How long did that chain take you? Does it actually turn?

And when I get to the actual models, I am stealing so many of your ideas and techniques... if I can figure them out.

Amazing work!

@ The Good Green: Unfortunately getting every link exactly the same was beyond me, let alone making two cogs that then meshed with the chain perfectly.

@ Tactica: Modernizing may not be the right word, but definitely my own idea of that.

Thanks for showing an interest folks.

So like a true Mek I have been bolting random armour plates all over the Hamma of Mork as its become known. Also added a 'top' to suggest the fact that its enclosed and to give me somewhere to put two twin linked big shootas later.

Other things that have been added are an exhaust, drivers cab, turrets and main gun.
