I have been purchasing bits from stores for a while now for conversions, building cheap kits etc, but I have been limited to a few major sellers. It would be good to know what competition is there in the 40k bits area.

Excluding the larger suppliers (Hoard o' Bits, Bits & Kits, Battlewagon Bits etc) who can I buy a range of bits for a reasonable price including international shipping (being in Australia, shipping is always a major factor in prices)? Also if there are any Australian bits companies out there who can put out competitive prices?

Bitsbarn seems to have the most in stock if your looking for a retail site.

Depends on what you're looking for... I don't have as large a range as some of the overseas guys, although I've been slowly building it back up.

Hi guys, im an aussie too, when im looking for bitz i go here http://www.thecombatcompany.com.au/ they're an aussie brand, they have a large selection as well as modelling supplies and parts from other games like Flames Of War.
I recomend you go and see them

Just looking for common parts, there are what I am after:

2 x Land Raider Sponsons + Redeemer Sponson Holders
1 x Right Side Land Raider (inner and outer) + Right Side Tracks
1 x Crisis Suit Legs

Unfortunately Combatcompany.com doesn't stock them as bits (only full kits), though I use Combatcompany.com regularly for magnet for my Tau army.

It would seem Bitzbarn.com at the moment is a bit short at the moment on those particular pieces and doesn't stock the actual track section on their site.

Hoard o' Bits is great, but auctions are fickle and their BIN prices are not particularly attractive for the bits I require.

Avoid the warstore if you can. They usually do have everything you could ever desire, but they make you pay out of the face for it if it's sort after.

The only place I buy bits now is Blackdagger Games on e-bay. Simply some of the best prices, a wonderful selection for 40k and Fantasy, and fastest shipping I've ever seen. I always like to give them the business.

Check them out sometime! You won't be dissapointed!

Well it seems of all the suggestions, Hoard o' Bits seems to be the best place to get what I need as B&K takes a while to restock and is always in demand. Unfortunately Bitzbarn.com just doesn't seem to hold one crucial piece (the tracks) and this is sort of a dealbreaker for the whole affair, it's really either all or nothing. As for Blackdagger Games, at the moment all I see is tidbits and accessories when i'm looking for vital pieces.

Finally Battlewagon bits...wll they only stock the full body (when I've already got the main chassis, left side, pintle and hatches) and includes everything BUT the sponsons - and a pointer that even if I was interested in this it would cost me a further $25USD shipping. This does not exactly give me the urge to jump for joy...

Ah, yes.
That would be the one, thanks .

Seriously though, it's a great site, I'm just about to order about 12 bits for $5.00 (That's aussie dollars), including heads, banners, knives, stowage, glyphs, magnets, sights and the head off a grabba stick.
Pretty good, I encourage everyone to check it out.

Since it seem like your new, I will give you a heads up on probably one of the best kept secrets of Bits service.

I have used them a few times and I have only seen good feedback. They also have a much wider selection of 40K bitz in stock then even bitzbox.

Check Bitsbay. It , they are italian but reasonable international shipping and I believe they have the LR parts you want in stock now. http://www.bitsbay.it/index.php?nocache=yes&locale=224¤cy=

Forgot to mention, they do Forgeworld too
