BLABBERMOUTH.NET reached out to Ronnie's wife/manager Wendy Dio, who sent back the following message at approximately 11:35 p.m. PST on Saturday, May 15 / 2:35 a.m. EST on Sunday, May 16:
"I am at the hospital and Ronnie has NOT passed away!!!! He is not doing good, but he is not dead.
"I will let you know if anything changes.
"Thank you for your concern."

Very sad news indeed,Dio was one of Metals great voices and personalities,I feel fortunate to have been able to see him perform several times in the 80's and early 90s,and am sadened by the loss of a great performer.
I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

Although I am more into speed and new age metal (not to mention I'm only 18 so I am little more than a kid) I love Dio, his voice is epic and his music is great.
He has a voice like steel and his passion for music will be missed.
