Okay, so the main idea is a chaos tzeench altar. I rarley work on it ,but finally I'm nearly done (Just need to Paint it). I planned on adding chained floating rocks, but that wouldn't look so good. I want it to be an objective of some sort for the ash waste terrain board I'm working on. I know it looks pretty plain, but I promise it'll look better after painting. Click here to see some of my (small) old terrain projects: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/287465.page . Well anyways ,here is the hill before sand was glued:

And with the sand on:

Looks like a pretty cool piece so far May I ask what material have you used?

Polystyrene, just it isn't as strong as the normal one (which makes it easier to cut ,but it can easily break) and is white.

You should be able to get it in a hardware store.

Very nice piece of terrain

95% of teens would go into a panic attack if the jonas brothers were about to jump off the empire state building, copy and paste this if you are the 5% who would pull up a lawn chair & grab some popcorn and yell JUMP!!!!!
Inquiring minds want to know: Do cos-players carry a costume version of the emergency roadside kit we all have in our cars?

92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you are one of the 8% who still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your sig.

OSL is "object source lighting" a common painting technique for canvas artists that was carried over into miniature painting. What you do is first find a base point of light, here the blue. From there you progressively lighten that color and paint almost rings around the initial color to achieve the look that the peice is illuminating light. each ring is to be lighter than the previous one and blended together to make a very smooth transition.

ahha!

Source lighting I know, I was just unfamiliar with the initials. Thanks.
