So here's my collection of RT-era Marines, all painted up as Crimson Fists. I've got a bunch of 2nd ed squads too, and my commander is from 2nd ed as well, but I decided not to post anyone but the captain and Thudd gun for the purposes of this thread. This army has RTB01 plastic beakies, RT walking turd-style dreadnoughts, some of the first metal Marines from GW, Space Hulk Terminators, and plenty of other cool old stuff. There's roughly 1500 points posted here, and I hope you like them as much as I do!

Here's the whole army:

Captain Delgado and his command squad:

Sergeant Rico and his tactical squad:

Sergeant Villa and his rhino-borne tactical squad:

Lead tactical squad - the sergeant may be used as Pedro Kantor at some point in the future:

Techmarine Bob with his Thudd gun (counts-as Thunderfire) and the plasma cannon dreadnought:

My second dreadnought, with what I counts-as an assault cannon:

The Space Hulk Terminator squad, with "Bernie" the heavy flamer Terminator, who earned eternal glory in this battle: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/231337.page

Anyway, let me know what you think! I have two RT-era Predators, some attack bikes and some other units still to paint, but I just wanted to show off my old fugly Fists. You'll notice a few guys aren't based yet, but that'll be fixed eventually. Thanks for looking!

I'm curious as to how well these have stood the test of time, as all my old beaky marines and some very early tyranids, became very brittle. Arms, legs etc shear off very easily.

i don't know if it was the batch, but they weren't the highest quality plastic.

...urrrr... I dunno

It looks suspiciously like that dreadnought is pelvic thrusting at the enemy. Very confident of him, say I.

It's nice to see old models, though. Shows how far we've come from back in the day.

I think there was some piracy going on back then. Most of the plastic beakies int his army were the cream colored plastic GW used to use, but a handful were blue plastic or even green plastic!

Thanks for the comments everybody - glad I could get some nostalgia in the P&M forum

I never was a Crimson Fist fan myself. Way back when it was all about the Space Sharks (HEEEEEELL YA! ).

The multi-melta is over his shoulder, and it's actually obscuring his head! When I want back and looked over the photos I got confused for a second because I too was curious where his head was.

Space Sharks are jawesome, but I was inspired by the RT rulebook cover when painting up this army. I painted their eyes red instead of yellow for personal preference's sake.

The two guys on the right in your command squad have heads so ugly it looks like they're wearing scary masks... perhaps to discourage members of the opposing army. Strange though how the guy in the middle at the back looks fine... quite a difference in quality in the RT era?

Lookin' good though, great army

The oop landspeeder always made me laugh. It was a cool looking vehicle(which is saying alot, I personally hate the old minis ) but I wondered how they got an armor value sitting right in front

At least you painted them nicely, but again I still cant stand the look of the RT minis. But the PF Im still a huge fan of

I actually do have an RT Land Speeder, and 3 RT Attack Bikes lying around. I would love to get a Land Raider for the army, but they're just so expensive on eBay. I saw one go for well over 60 bucks the other day.
