SoooOo. I go down to my local gw regularly. They have their own musics their, which tend to be on a disc, and is alternative rock songs/lotr/star wars musziks. How about your stores?

in my own, usually, in my opinion, hateful disco music from the .net's radio with a fether as a commentarist, in the best an endless repeat of Dropkick Murphy's songs....

for the DM are okay form me, if it was only few songs but disco are IMO a lot unfitting in a wargames store

Sure! but you cannot listen MP3 while you're painting (in my case, surely will try to chop in half someone with the brush rather than paint a miniature, so illtempered and aggresive music my own ) or playing a game..

Note I haven't been since early 2009, but last time I went into the LA Bunker, they were playing the background music from Warhammer Online.

My FLGS plays various internet radio stations, depending on who's working.

None that I know of. Generally the only sounds are of people messing with rc cars and helicopters and such. The one that I go to on occasion plays John Williams in an endless loop.

Local GW likes to play music from epic action movies. Whenever Enemy at the Gates comes up I'm forced to passionately recite Bob Hoskins lines with all the gusto of err... Bob Hoskins.

I've been asked to stop.

At my FLGS they play indie and alternative stuff during the day, but when they do in-store mini-tourneys, they play LoTR stuff, and general sci-fi stuff.

The coolest one we had was when they did a BFG tourney, and they play Ride of the Valkyries on a loop. It did not get old.

In fact me, the staff and three randoms stood at the back of the store yelling "DUN DADUN DAAAN DAAAN, DUN DADUN DAAAN DAAAN, DUN DADUN DAAAN DAAAN, DUN DADUN DAAAAAAAAA!" very loudly. Now they play it when ever me and the staff happen to be around the table at the same time.

At my Local GW they used to play Metal, things like Iron Maiden and Rob Zombie, which I enjoyed. As well as a few soundtracks e.g. Pirates of the Caribbean. Although recently they have been playing more and more popular stuff ''to not scare away potential customers'' . But a few of the old metal songs have survived and the staff will play them if asked nicely (also there has a recent decrease in the popular music )

Nah, Romford. I just don't go in that much any more.

Also, @ Fauntleroy - What's wrong with the Biff?

I like their new stuff, but their old stuff is so much better, I recommend looking it up

There's two guys who work at my FLGS. One listens to NPR, but will put on some generic epic fantasy music from god knows where (Not LoTR, possibly Conan?)

The other guy has really diverse taste. Sometimes it will be loungecore, sometimes it will be Tarantino soundtracks and rockabilly, and sometimes it will be Trance Around the World with Above and Beyond.

Last time it was Devo

Somewhere in space, close to Beetlejuice

In my GW it depends on whose in, the manager usually has a alternative playlist with Justin Timberlake on it *Shudder* which is how we know he is 'in' and usually when anyone else is in it's a metal/rock/film soundtrack with some Irish folk metal thrown in

Lots of stuff. Whoever wants to ante up their iPod gets to have it played. We're really laid back that way. Default is epic movie music, but we don't do that much anymore.

Neither of the two I frequent have music playing. Frankly, this is the primary reason why I frequent them.

Not really.

But keep in mind if I'm playing you and you can't be respectful enough to actually listen to me when I am trying t communictae we are gonna have an issue.

I get tired real fast of having to repeat everything six times because some asshat can't be bothered to take a break from his crap-rock/crap-rap for a little bit while we play a game...
