I think it will be alright.

But if the concept suits are what they put into production then the proportions of the marines will have the fans going wat.

700+ posts says your not, I just thought it was funny cause every thread about this movie has had plenty of criticism.

1st time I've seen a thread about the movie trailer.
Saw one about possible actors but there wasn't much critism there.

But anyways, its going to be CG, so the proportions should be fine. But what im worried about is that it will be oozing over with cheese.( )

why cant we have some imperial fists or some chaos!!

any way my biggest fear is terrible plot and that it will be a short movie so you wont get heaps out of it. so if they try jam everything in unthoughtfully it will end like the last movie they made :L well not that bad but still.

and i am really really hoping they fight chaos but i just know its going to be orks/nids

It's gonna be a teaser like Jurassic Park 3, where they just filmed some bushes with a guy hiding behind them shaking em making growly noises.

If they make this like the trailer vid for DoW2 (with the marines vs eldar) then it'll certainly be watchable and cool.

I understand it has to be vanilla blue marines, GW continuing to feed the self fulfilling prophecy etc.

But what I hope is they make a reasonable story, that they don't tone down the violence and grimdark too much and that they give some decent scenes to some of the other races.

I am also really hoping for a captial ship battle in space, always like those.

It has the potential to be good if for no other reason than Dan Abnett being the screenwriter.

I too like to keep anticipation low and then be pleasantly surprised if it turns out to not be gawd awful.

Too much hype can really kill enjoyment of a movie. I am hopeful though.

I'll go and watch it, if its horrible I'll just let it go as expected.

But i'm hoping its actually good, and brings some new blood to the hobby.

I wouldn't think so. Coming to GW stores near you soon! (though I hope normal DVD stores too, can't see GW discounting it).

They should defenitly have picked a more culturally rich chapter to do a movie about than the Ultramarines.

I dont know, im just not fan or them and id rather see them do a series starting with the beging of the horus heresy. I'd love to see the drop pod masacer on the big screen.

No matter which Chapter was chosen, there would be unhappy chappys. I say wait and see before complaining. To do otherwise weakens your position later.
