These have a base coat and the camo netting is just some gauze held in place with watered down white glue.

This guy it the general for my army. He is a forgeworld tank crew figure on a set of plastic legs from the tank accessory sprue. I think is is one my favorite models in my whole army.

This guy was supposed to have a hellgun for the old supreme commander rules as a bodyguard but now I think he will just be a bodyguard or something like that.


Some day this will be my shadowsword I promise. If I can only work out a barrel I like.

I think its awesome how you converted the the rifles to look like today's modern weapons. The vert grip I especially like. Even putting a top rail onto melta was a pretty cool stroke.

Any plans of attaching optics to the rails?

The main body of the bike is the seat from the Dark Eldar Jet bike. I picked up a few a while back for cheap because no one liked DE where I was playing. Other than that the light is the speaker from a Vox unit and wheels from the old IG heavy weapons. Beyond that it is all plasticard and glue.

Here's a guy with a reflex sight on his rifle

I am a modeler and I have a problem. I have 20+ guard tanks and when I paint I normally put the tracks towards the end of the process. This sometimes means that when I am in a hurry tanks make it on to the battle field without tracks. I hate this so the other night I spraypainted a bunch of tracks, I thing I had more than 10 sprues, and dry brushed them boltgun metal and started applying them to some tanks that had base coats and first washes. It makes me happy to get this work done and off my plate.




These guys got fresh tracks last night.




And I just finished these blokes up and they are getting ready for some primer.

Looking very nice.

I like guard when they are done creatively. I just feel bad for the guys who have to be creative with it, like 200 times for Apoc!

Those may be the best rifle conversions ever...period... Any chance you could give us a tutorial on making them?

I love the general and the modeling on the guns. I like the way you model your tanks.

I might be stealing your idea for the guns.

So I just played a 6000pt Apoc game with my friend yesterday and with all these points out and Siegeworld coming up in 2 weeks I thought I would get a group shot of my entire guard army. I think I am just about done with this. I need to finish up the painting and get one more leman russ chassis and finish putting together my last infantry squad. Then after that I might pick up a battery of manticores and maybe some medusas if GW ever makes a model for that and maybe some more heavy weapon squads i dont have many of those in this army because they dont mount in chimeras, well maybe I am note done quite yet but I am in a good place with it.

That's super awesome! One of the bigger and most impressive IG armies I've see in quite awhile.

One question, does that Levaiatan have any rules for use or is it purely ornamental?

Sorry no it is not from scratch I have been playing for something like 18 years, some of the Leman Russ' and chimera are from when they first came out. and the guys in front of the levithan are Rouge Trader Guardsmen. their bases are copyrighted 1991.

This is really cool , i love the gun conversions with plasticard.
