Sad to hear this news. A few days ago I posted a Kromlech mini on my Instagram, kept scrolling and came across the announcement about three minutes later. He was an original.
I just got some minis from Kromlech today (and ordered more yesterday). One of my most favorite things about their ork models was the number of orks who just look like little happy guys, waving at the viewer. Though it may not be very GW-grimdark, it just makes me happy seeing them. I hope that his whole family knows how many gamers and modelers he has given a little bit of joy through his work.
I recently received my first order from Kromlech and I’m very happy. The resin is nice quality and the pieces are just lovely - mainly IG kit and legs/ torsos.
I’ll need to keep my head or I’ll bankrupt myself, I know it…

Took me a second to read the dates correctly on that, but awesome. I didn't spend as much as anticipated on Memorial Day sales so time to pick up some resin.
I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy.

I wanted to get their Squiggoth, Beast Snaggaz and Squig Kanz this year, so the new stuff has to wait till the next .
Liking the alternate Flash gitz, aside from these I think I'll just need the jump packs.
Kromlech never fails to do great Ork stuff, though.
These look good, but it seems odd that they are competing with GW kits which actually look good already. I see no reason to buy a set of resin flash gitz when the GW plastic kit is basically perfect. Likewise, the stormboyz GW sells are good except for their undersized nob, which this kit doesn't fix (I'd buy a kit of jumpback boss models to lead my stormboyz).
I guess these planes are competing with the FW ones rather than the plastic GW ones, so they have the advantage of actually being available, as well as competitive pricing and superior quality control.
Warlord and ship-wagon at least provide something which looks different to the GW equivalent.
