I know, whenever I've owned my own house, having a 'dude' room set up to play games in was on the priority list. I've had my room for awhile. However, for my birthday, I got some money which I used to get myself a 26" flatscreen TV and a Blue ray player to put in the room. Figured I'd share pictures and see what other people have set up for thier own 'dude' rooms

I wish I had that much room for my stuff, all I have is a TV, all my 40k stuff, and a tote of books.

Well, that's 11 GW armies with about 2 shelves per army there. Plus assorted other gaming books.

Scary stuff, how much did it cost you to put together? How much time did it take? (EDIT-The room, not the GW stuff! )

Might be interested in something like this myself, I would need a couch or bed though to be honest.

The table was about $350 or so from Lowes...8x4 piece of particle board on top of 4 Bathroom cabinets. Basically, stained it (Took a couple hours), let it sit overnight, then took everything upstairs and screwed the particle board to the cabinets.

I got the 5 barstools from Target for around $150 I think...The bookshelves...Who knows...Been collecting them for years.

Of course, the TV and Blue ray came to about $500 and took a couple hours to put up

Only $1,000? I was expecting somewhere around $1,500-$2,000. I might buy some cheaper stools though.

Well, the expensive part of the table was the Cabinets. The first time I did one, I did it with 2x4's for the legs. Gets a bit cheaper that way (Granted, doesn't look as good...)

Nice room I have a 1 br condo, the whole place is a dude room, but I never have the dudes over so I get to share it with just me and my dog we always end up playing as a group and a few in the group have huge basemets we can all pack into.

I have a realm of battle board I can set up to play on, but just haven't had the chance yet.

I'd post pictures of my dude room, but it's also my naked room, and nobody gets to see the dude room without also seeing me naked.

Seems like a pretty nice room - unfortunately, I don't have a dude room of my own yet, but I've got plans for the future! Pretty hard to have much of a dude room beyond your own bedroom when you're a poor college student. One of my dad's friends has an entire dude house, where he converted a garage into an air conditioned gaming paradise. The guy's retired so he had the money though

I have no need of a dude room or mancave.
Aussie males do this kind of thing at the pub.

Well, this was version 1.0 but my new one blows this out of the water; I just haven't really taken any photos. May have to do that tonight actually. Anyway, here was the "Dude Room 1.0"

Shoot,all I've got is a card table and a office chair. I play on my bedroom floor (it's big though).

We're not lucky, we're "matured"

I beleive is suffices to say "I live with my parents ATM", so my bed room doubles as my man cave. And so I understand.

But once upon a time, I had a 1 car garage all to myself.

Bad light. I can't take pictures to save my life it seems. My wife took some more and they're on my photobucket page where these are.

I'd take a picture of mine, but it looks like arse right now(boxes and books all over the floor, random toys and wargaming stuff on top of everything). I need to buy more shelves and display cabinets to help me clean up and toss the crappy older stuff I've had since various apartments...

The shelves are the most important thing, since 3/4's of my Transformers collections are still in Baton Rouge...

close it's Platoon also be careful when opening paints, this may happen its classic Lava orange Ink on a light green wall, thats a close up the acutual spray is about 1 meter across

I don't even have a TV in my room...granted,I really don't even watch TV,but still,it's nice to have one,lol. Hopefully when I move into my dream apartment in NYC, I use my entire apartment as a dude house. LOL,daydreaming...
