Silly Manimal, don't you know you're supposed to lock yourself in with your wife?

I had a duderoom back when I managed the subletting of a nice suburban household for a friend. There were 5ish bedrooms with common living areas and kitchen, but the formal dining room belonged to me. Alas, the wife tired of the frathouse life (among other reasons) and we found an apartment to move into. Since then, I've managed to infiltrate every room with something game-related so I guess you could say I have a dude-house.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Frat life eh? I'd hate being in a frat house that no one plays 40k in. That would be really hard to deal with...

And is that Full Metal Jacket playing on your TV?

close it's Platoon also be careful when opening paints, this may happen its classic Lava orange Ink on a light green wall, thats a close up the acutual spray is about 1 meter across

Rats, so close.

And I completly understand the paint pots. I learned from several bad yogurt experiences and have learned to open them into a papertowl or my other hand. At least it was the wall and not the TV though. That's the one downside to mixing TV and 40K; pretty painted plastic men and pretty badly painted TV screens.

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Mine is quite small as I have to cram it all in around everything else. I use the dining room table to game on the rare occasions when my brother comes over.

I do have some modular terrain boards in one corner as well though.

My shelf (there are quite a few boxes of terrain and suchlike at the bottom and can't be seen because there is stuff in the way ):

The ones on the left can be seen in my CSM thread here.

Some WIP shots of the one on the right can be seen here along with the link at the bottom of that page.

I need one of those

Though I am getting a DVD rack from Argos at some point to mount on the wall above my painting area to organise my paints a bit better and clear some space on my desk.

I don't have my own duderoom. My wife and I have a "hobby" room that we share. However, somehow I've managed to take over about 80% of the space.

Messy full room shot.

Post Clean-up left side wall and desk area.

My wife's portion is a desk located back and to the right of the pictures.
It's mostly dedicated to LEGO, but it provides a nice big area for painting. Gaming happens elsewhere in the house on a gameboard and saw horses.

Got that right. Looks like he did at least once to.

Eilif - Jeez man, what do you do - keep Lego in business? I thought my son had a lot of Lego sets and pieces but he has nothing on you. Impressive.

I need to get pictures of my room up soon.

Thanks! Believe it or not, the size of my collection is actually in the bottom half compared to the rest of the members of the Northern Illinois LEGO Train Club. But I do buy alot of LEGO, especially from resale shops.

Yep LEGO they be. I should clarify though that my wife's area is a desk out of view of the shot that she uses for work and scrapbooking. She builds occasionally, but mostly it's when I get a really big set and we build it together. She thinks LEGO is great as opposed to 40k which she barely tolerates.

I love gaming rooms with plain walls and classy (ish) furniture.

Ones with skull wall paper/poster stuff all over the wall don't sit well with me.

Once saw one with brushed aluminium bar stool thingies around a matching gaming table, was hot
