Hi all, I'm thinking of starting a small Chaos Force - based on Iron Warriors.
And since there is no chapters in the new book, I was going to add Lesser Daemons to my Force...
But I cannot find any models that fits with the Iron Warriors, I have been around the following models (without that much luck)

- Arco Flagellants (From Witch Hunters): A simple Head replacement, but still...
- Flayed Ones (From Necron): Just as they are...

But as said before, I'm not pleased with these. I was thinking of converting some new models, using the Blooodletters - but I realy don't know where to get the rest from.
I was thinking of making them flesh/metal -ish, in style with the Obliterator Cult...

I hope that some one, here can help me.
Cheers all, and thanks

Oli: Can I be an orc?
Everyone: No.

I think Flayed Ones would be best, although you would want to remove some Necron traces from the model.

You could use Chaos Terminators, remove any aesthetic detail on the model, and make them more tech-y, such as adding cables and pistons. Pretty costly, but the end result should be pretty good.

i'd definitely go with nightmarish mechanical creatures. if you're not pick about being 100% gw (necessary for their licensed tournies and playing in their stores), i'd suggest the at-43 therian line. they've even got some big'uns to use as a greater demon.

you can usually find their stuff online at 40-50% off retail as alot of retailers are unsure about the company's future/stability.

I had an idea.

Im not sure if it would work in execution, but i think it sounds good on paper.

Ok, so iron warriors like iron....right?

Well, a couple of whitedwarfs back (make that ALOT of whitedwarfs back) they had rules for fighting on daemon worlds. They have made the iron warrior one in particular, and it looked pretty jazzy. Now the thing that struck me about the world, was the trees. They'd been made from i think plastic sprue, to make it look like they were jutting girders, formed into the likeness of trees.

Now, you maybe wondering where this is going. Well, whilst looking at these tree's i had an ephonie (i cant spell)

Surely, on a world made of iron, the daemons would be made of iron? So my idea was, essentially scrap metal, wires, girders and other pieces of metal would come together in a whirlwind of chaos energy.

Sounds like a goood lesser daemon. Only problem with this idea is its a bitch to make. Many an evening of pain went into trying to make them, and its just so damn hard -.-

Anywho, just passing on my ideas...

Whitehorn/Rusty Dice kitbashed Necrons with Bloodletters for his Dark Mechanicus force. Easy to do and I think they look pretty nifty: http://www.mywargame.com/2010/04/13/a-model-a-day-day-14-robotic-bloodletters/

it is all, great ideas
thanks, but I'm not sure - I'll make them look like the Bloodletters...

The Rackham minis, seems like a good alternative - I hope to hear some more ideas from people

But again a great thanks to all of you

You could always use WFB Crypt Ghouls with Necron bits. You get ten crypt ghouls in a box and necrons for going on ebay for cheap. They are small and evil looking and some necron bits with GS over it like flesh would look good. Plus since it is all plastic kits you can snip and glue and there would be very little repetition in the force.

In the white dwarf it wasn't sprues, the trees were made from the battlefield accessories sprues, I think from the tank traps...

Was going to suggest teching up some ghouls myself.

Thanks to both of you - again I'll keep the topic open for more ideas
I'll look into the idea with the ghouls - sounds like a great concept.
