Simple enough: any simple way of painting Cadian IG without mixing any colours?

Spraypaint chaos black basecoat, apply orkhide shade coat, put dheneb stone over the cloth and khaki on top, put catachan green over armour+gun, tallarn flesh on face w/ ogryn flesh on top of tallarn flesh. Looks fine, no mixing and take about 5 minutes a model if you wanna get it just on the verge of being a bad paint job, takes about 10 to do well.

Thanks!

oh, and to anyone else - pictures would be nice to see the end result.

And Felix, I may well try that when I pick up a few more of the necessary paints.

Spray 'em grey, paint the armour and lasgun chaos black, paint the metal bits boltgun metal, dwarf flesh face and hands then flesh wash. Sorted. Time- about 5 minutes in production line fashion.

Are you after the GW studio Cadian colour scheme or after colour schemes for cadian class models in general?

For instance, I've done a full forest camo pattern on my Cadan models with no colour mixing.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Well I spray paint mine khaki, then do the flesh in skin tones, and dab on bits of brown white and black for camo. Course my core regiment is Tallarn, and these come out nicely as modern desert camo troopers

Base - spray gray, Cloth - Deneb Stone, Armor - Knarloc Green, Accents - Calthan Brown, Skin - Elf Flesh, Barrels and blades - boltgun metal. Mix up a big ol' batch of Payne's Gray (a Liquitex dark blue/gray) and wash the crap out of them. A couple of examples in my gallery. They look pretty crap until you put the wash on, but that really jumps them up to a high tabletop standard.

It's quick and easy, I can normally get a batch of 10 done in an evening after the kids are in bed. And in includes the fact I two tone the skin and do some drybrush, and put sand on the bases.

Here's my Cadians which are very similar to the GW paint scheme:

Prime them black, then paint all the cloth Dheneb Stone and all the armor Catachan Green. Highlight the armor with Camo Green, and wash the cloth with Gryphonne Sepia. Paint the skin Dwarf Flesh and wash it with Ogryn Flesh. Metallics are just Boltgun Metal with a Badab Black wash.

These are my cadians. A bit different from the traditional.

Catachan green clothes. Drybrushed with 3:1 Catachan green/Goblin Green
Graveyard earth armor/helmet
Catachan green combined with Boltgun metal for weapons.
Skin: Tallarn flesh with Ogryn flesh wash.

Just takes me about 10/15 minutes per model

Gonna post some of your progress?

Everyone has a choice. Me, I choos not to make a choice

Think I'll go for this.

Progress? Unfortunately I'm quite ill at the minute, so not really thinking about 40k. Plus I will need to pick a paint or two for the above, which I like for two reason: I have most of the paints/washes I believe, and I like how it turned out.

Thanks to all you guys for posting - Hans, I think you must of had a flash issue or taken the pic outside, because your cadians look really unusually bright, but other than that they look really good!
