With the recent price hike from GWS Ive been having serious moral issues whenever I buy a GWS products. Now Ive seen a few non- GWS independent mini retailers advertise here every now and then, they range from the full blow range of custom non- GWS mini's to a more specialized catalogue of specific bitz
Please post a links to these independant retailers websites.
Thank you to all who have contributed so far. Here is a compiled list:

Wargames Factory

Do you want minis and bits kits that look a lot like GW stuff or are you looking for cooler alternatives for 'counts as'?

Yes and Yes. Really, anything that is an alternative to buying GWS products.

Pricewise, there's not a great deal out there for sci-fi that'll beat GWs prices because most companies are still using metal, not plastic. Wargames factory (link in Mr. Burning's post) is your best bet for IG stand-ins.
Warzone, from Prince August, offer 80 miniatures for about $30.

I don't have a comprehensive list, but a few that I like.
1) Pig Iron productions. A bit cheaper than GW, and some great figs, but all metal. Rattlehead games and Warstore carry them
2) Wargames Factory is about to release it's "Shock Troopers" Plastic, Multipart IG style troops with long coats and gas masks.
3) EM4 miniatures. They're re-released the Grenadier future warriors figs and they are awesome. About 2 bucks a fig for great Mark Copplestone scuplts.
They've also got a line of plastic figs. that aren't quite as nice, but I like them.
4) The Warzone figs currenlty being sold by Prince August are also hightly recommended. The plastics are a great bargain, but there's alot of other good figs from the Warzone line.

Not exactly the same since the OP is also asking for alternative miniature makers (even though this has been covered before as well). Never hurts to bring it up once in a while in case something changes and another, cheaper alternative arises.

Has anyone seen the eM4 gangers in the flesh at all please?
The pics don't look as good as GW's but as long as they are passable
Am in a hurry to get some gangers for the Library Club NecroMonday games and need a good price as it will be coming out of my own hole riddled pockets.
Automatically Appended Next Post: For anyone interested found this on the troopers
The weapons are the only downside by the looks of it
