Absolutely brilliant! Hats off to both Yakface, Legoburner, and whoever else that has contributed to Dakkas new looks and functions. Personally I really like the old look. Oh, and I just noticed the glossary. Ingenious! Hmm, I wonder how far it goes... SAFH?

Anyway, splendid work fellas!

Yak, RE: the glossary.

Not every "he" should be defined as High Elves. Can you make it case sensitive so that only "HE" is defined as "high elves"?

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias

Unfortunately (or fortunately) the glossary is case insensitive. So I'll remove the HE definition and just leave it under HEs.

I like the way it allows you to hover over certain words and it brings up the meaning very cool.

Can we make it so HBMC and H.B.M.C. come up with 'Half Brother of Marneus Calgar', and if someone puts HMBC or H.M.B.C. it comes up with 'You're a moron!' for not spelling it correctly.

I second this one. The new forum is much faster and thus much more enjoyable than ever before. I quickly also found the blue and white theme which to me is a little easier to read.

There was a slight inconsistency when copying over some of the threads with no replies from the old site. This has now been fixed and they should all be back in place and visible. Thanks for letting us know and for giving enough info to make it easy to track down the issue.

I just checked, and they did not appear to be there yet. Thanks for all the work Lego. If zero reply topics have a problem, then all my early Roberto Brake stories and the solitions to them will be missing to. If it's too much trouble, I can repost them myself. Just let me know. I'm sur there are far more improtnat glitches to be dealt with.

Great job on the new forum, guys. Thanks for putting in the effort.

It looks like the "Skip to first unread" function isn't working quit right. It seems to be automatically marking all posts from before my previous login as "read." It means I basically have to read the entire forum every time I log in, for fear of missing something. And I'd hate to miss something!

Yes for now the 'read message' tracking will flag everything as read when you logout, so skip to unread will only be new messages since then (this is known as session read tracking). We will switch to a full, precision read tracking system in the future but we wanted to make sure we knew what the server load would be like first.

Very fast. I like the new 'old' look as well. Great work on THE site for GW gamers.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
